  1. One album per band/solo artist. My list would look like this: Permanent Waves by Rush Powerslave by Iron Maiden Heaven and Hell by Black Sabbath Appetite for Destruction by GnR Love Over Gold by Dire Straits Texas Flood by Stevie Ray Vaughan Doolittle by Pixies Ace of Spades by Motorhead Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables by Dead Kennedys Your picks?
  2. Queen by far. And I really like the 80s QR stuff.
  3. The Prophet's Song vs. Ten Years Gone?
  4. I have to go with ANATO, but it's very close.
  5. What do you prefer between these two classics from 1975?
  6. EL easily LZ III is very good, but the weakest out of the first six Zep albums.
  7. Afterimage, no brainer. Emotion Detector is the weakest link on PoW.
  8. Which classic debut do you prefer?
  9. They are a big name when it comes to underground or non-mainstream rock music. Same with bands as Velvet Underground, The Stooges, Joy Division or Pixies.
  10. Are My Bloody Valentine any better than Sonic Youth?
  11. Paul Rudd
  12. Bohemian Rhapsody is a great timeless classic, but Xanadu wins easily in my book.
  13. La Villa, no doubt.
  14. Top 5 Blackmore, SRV, Gilmour and Hendrix are probably ahead.
  15. Voted He might be in my top 10.
  16. Neil is my #1, but some others are close!
  17. Rush is probably #4, behind Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath.
  18. Not sure about position but he is definitely among my favorites. But Neil Young > Neil Peart
  19. John Entwistle is No 1 for me, Geddy is definitely No 2 behind him. The Ox is the king of rock bass in my book.
  20. Black Sabbath Iron Maiden Judas Priest Dream Theater Opeth Megadeth Nightwish Helloween Candlemass Death (from Human onwards) HM: Motorhead
  21. Bon Jovi (I consider them "Nickelback" of the 80s, probably the worst kind of ultra-commercial 80s cheesy rock) KISS (I like songs as Strutter and Black Diamond, but in general meh) Motley Crue - not one song I like, I find their songwriting really lame Ramones (I like Sheena is a Punk Rocker and that's it) Slayer (Seasons in the Abyss is their only "classic" album I like, dislike other classic albums) Pantera (I like Cemetery Gates though) Nirvana (musically they are average at best) Korn (I like Blind and that's it) Linkin Park Nicks-era Fleetwood Mac Brian-era AC/DC (not a big fan of Bon-era either but I can't stand Brian's vocals)
  22. 1973 was a good year. In no particular order: The Who - Quad Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon Black Sabbath - Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Led Zeppelin - Houses Of The Holy Genesis -- Selling England by the Pound The Stooges - Raw Power King Crimson - Larks' Tongues in Aspic David Bowie - Aladdin Sane ZZ Top - Tres Hombres BOC - Tyranny and Mutation
  23. Entre_Perpetuo, you forgot to put Whitesnake in your poll. For example, you put 3 Triumph albums and zero WS.
  24. Black Sabbath: Paranoid Master of Reality Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Heaven and Hell Black Sabbath Sabotage Vol 4 Mob Rules Dehumanizer Iron Maiden: Powerslave Somewhere in Time Seventh Son of a Seventh Son Piece of Mind Number of the Beast Iron Maiden Brave New World Killers A Matter of Life and Death
