  1. maybe it's not debatable to you but it is to me ... consider for a sec the GL was mistaken for Robert Plant when his beautiful voice first hit the airwaves ! they do exist on the same plane IMO I'll take FM over GL ... but it's not some huge runaway your opinion is skewed by your love and devotion to Queen .. admit it (cant wait til we see them this summer!)
  2. two of my all time favorite rock singers so this is hard ... but I have to go with Aerosmith ... sorry EP
  3. I really think it's a very average effort for Rush ... but I gave it a five because they really nailed in on R40 ... otherwise it would be a three from me
  4. I don't care for some of his really poppy stuff .... but I myself find that when he sings an I've loved and lost type tune ... it's completely believable .. it cuts ... I have shed a few tears to against all odds in the past I also recently heard him sing super's ready on a live G album and it was probably only second to PG himself .. very very good I could never hate him .. really ever
  5. a day in life ... close second, long and winding road
  6. they had more than one tune that was pretty good IMO ... but they weren't worthy of the HOF at all
  7. styx reo (tied for second) foreigner (tied for second) Journey

  9. the graveyard scene at the end of Carrie
  10. In his defense ... most people around here know if you see him you don't run up and try to talk to him or get a pic ... he will do those things at certain times in certain places but not when he is just going to the store or trying to have dinner etc. ... I've seen him a few times around town and I just know not to mess with him ... I'm cool with it ... now all thins doesn't mean he wasn't actually a dick to someone here and there ... he just likes to live his life around here without being bothered too much
  11. How could anyone not love Jeff Buckley? Or Tim? I've heard it here and there (about Jeff) ... to be honest I' don't believe he had the perfect control at the top of his range that say Freddie Mercury or Steve Perry had (maybe Perry still does IDK)... but none the less, I love his voice and style Freddie and Perry mean nothing to me. Truly...not for me at all. Jeff and his dad were blessed with two of the most soothing and tender voices in recording history! I'll be honest I have never listened to Tim ... I'll try to listen to something tonight .. any suggestions?

  13. the only one I can think of is the later Brian Johnson stuff ...Like I love the song thunderstruck, but the vocals really bother my ears some .. haven't seen Jeff Buckley mentioned yet .. I know his voice doesn't sit well with some folks ... I love it though
  14. it's odd I know ... but I like Sammy as a rock singer better ... yet I voted for DLR ... I think I just like the classic VH sound the best
  15. No, you are a casual fan not a TrueRushFan™ and that is okay. We can still be friends. I think I am a true fan of any band I really like ... I think I just don't like the term "true fan" .. because the opposite of true is false ... and the only way I would be a false fan is if I said I really liked them ... but in reality I was just lying about it
  16. I can tell you that with out a doubt I am a rush fan .. and that's the truth as I know it ... but I don't listen to them all that much .. and when I do it's usually 2112, Farewell or Moving Pics ... I've only seen them once ... I am probably more of a casual fan by most standards ... but they are one of my favorite bands so I think I am a "true Fan"
  17. Not much love for my fellow Hoosier .... I get that many don't consider him as a true rocker .... But IMO he did start out that way .... I need a lover is one of my all time favorite songs ... And I do love both intros ... Just Johnny a little better
  18. I don't have an electric guitar anymore :( ... wish i did ... I do agree that foreplay would be the better tune to warm up with ... as foreplay should be i guess haha
  19. Which is the better intro .... Foreplay/Longtime Boston or I need a lover Johnny Cougar ???? I find both of theme just fantastic ... but I need a lover is the one I have always liked a little better ... thoughts?
  20. He was one of JWs? ... how could he go door to door and offer bible studys? that is a big part of their religion I believe?? He actually has done some door-to-door. yea ... i just did a little reading about it ... pretty cool if he shows up with the pamphlet .... I have known some and they are very hard working people ... he certainly fit that description I am not religious in the least bit, but holy crap...if Prince showed up at my door and wanted to talk Jesus I would have sooooo let him in. Even if I'm just nodding and agreeing and promising to give my life to Christ I'd be thinking ("HOLY SHIT...IT'S PRINCE!!!!"). :D I would tell him to take a seat at the piano and sing me purple rain ... then I'll convert haha
