  1. I'd say All The Worlds A Stage had some high female sounding vocals.
  2. Sadly me neither. I've only heard pieces. I need to sit down and listen to it one day.
  3. 1. Roll The Bones - my least favorite Rush album, but it's what my Dad had at the time and it's the first I listened to 2. Signals/Moving Pictures - When my Dad found out I liked Roll The Bones (at the time) he got these 3. Fly By Night/2112 - I decided I wanted to hear the old Rush, I wasn't disappointed! 4. Permanent Waves 5. Caress of Steel 6. Hemispheres/A Farewell To Kings 7. Grace Under Pressure/Power Windows/Hold Your Fire - I was disappointed mostly, but I've grown to love Grace. 8.Test for Echo 9. Vapor Trails 10. Rush 11. Presto 12. Counterparts 13. Snakes and Arrows 14. Clockwork Angels - the first and only album that came out after I was introduced to Rush, and the only one I waited for and bought on release
  4. What I would give to see Hemispheres live in it's entirety. Wow. It's a shame they never played Everyday Glory. I feel it's an overlooked gem. I'm glad they played nearly all of Clockwork Angels though.
  5. Hm... Dan Reynolds - vocals Geddy Lee - Bass/Synthesizers Alex Lifeson - Guitars/Synthesizers Mike Portnoy - drums
  6. Eh, for me presto is among the most forgettable albums. I don't dislike it, but I often forget it's even there. Saying it's better than anything post Counterparts is ridiculous. (In my opinion, please don't kill me!)
  7. What?!? Dude repent. Like now! Blechhhh... It's one giant of a song. I'm not alone! :D
  8. Really nice! I love this album and your cover was great.
  9. My 5th favorite album, truly a masterpiece! The best of the 80s for sure. ;)
  10. For several years, yes. Currently I'm listening to a ton of Dream Theater, but I'll probably pick back up with Rush soon. ;)
  11. Garden Road should have bumped Take A Friend on the debut. Fancy Dancer is a completely unremarkable song. I was about to say the same thing.
  12. I love My Favorite Headache, I haven't heard Victor. My favorite My Favorite Headache song is probably Home on the Strange. Just a weird yet catchy tune.
  13. Fixed. You're right about the Speed of Love, but The Weapon is just plain  (to me) Tell that to Lorraine Apologize to Lorraine, it's just my personal musical taste. :)
  14. Awesome song, awesome album, awesome watch! :D

  16. Or pretty much 90-95% of Roll The Bones. (for me anyways)
  17. It's a pretty good live album. I don't really care for Alex's tone on it, but they played well.

    The Debut

It's alright. I enjoy it because I hear 3 young musicians having fun and really trying to make it big. If that weren't the case, it's just an average blues rock album. There's some greatness on it but Fly By Night and ESPECIALLY Caress of Steel would blow it out of the water for me.
  19. Madrigal, Cinderella Man, Different Strings, Chemistry, Digital Man, The Weapon, The Speed of Love, most of Hold Your Fire is pretty boring to me, I'm sure I could think of more.
  20. I thought they did a good job but I much prefer just seeing the 3 guys up there. And if they have someone else up there, I am fine if it's in much more of a limited capacity (like Losing It on the R40 tour). I can't imagine them ever getting away with having a string section years ago. (if they'd added one for effect) It's only because after this amount of time the fans are much more tolerant of what they do now. I'm honestly not sure what having the string ensemble does to detract from the show. It's not like the band was going to play the string parts by hand otherwise. If the ensemble didn't do it, it would've just been another pedal. Having real musicians there performing the parts live I think adds much more to the show than just another trigger. Just my two cents. I think the point is that they were never the type of band that would do something like that. Going to a Rush show was about seeing them, not some girl in a skimpy outfit. But you still saw them, it's not like they disappeared. There was just a new sound on stage as well.

Just my two cents. I agree completely. Plus, the ensemble were there for less than half the show, so they were by no means "taking over" or anything. Yeah. I thought they were a great addition.

  23. Very much so! They did a great job and added to the songs I feel. Yes, the band could've just triggered the string track, but having a real string ensemble there is better I think.
