  1. I won't disagree with that. I think Pale Communion and Sorceress are definitely 10/10 to me.
  2. That's one I was gonna name. Really? It's that good? Yes, it is. I think it's his best album so far although Raven is just as good. As much as I love all the PT material, I think these two solo albums are exquisite.
  3. Love most early Genesis and Supper's Ready is up there as one of the greats but it doesn't beat epic Rush for me.
  4. I went with Snakes because while I do love FooFighters, this is not the album which would compete with a Rush album for me. Now if it was Wasting Light it would be a tougher choice for me. That is a damn good album IMO. I like Echoes but not as much as Wasting Light or even Sonic Highways.
  5. Opeth/Gojira/Devin Townsend Project - May 4 Nashville, TN Morsefest Sept. 1-2 near Nashville
  6. Happy birthday!!! Hope you have been having a great one!!
  7. I have loved this band since 1983 when I discovered them but haven't been listening to them much for awhile. I will probably get the album. It's sounds pretty good as always. I have not been in the mood for anything but prog/metal for quite awhile but Night Ranger are awesome melodic rock when you are in the mood for that.
  8. Steven, no big surprise there, huh? :P
  9. Aww I am sorry to hear that. :(
  10. It pains me to admit this but I have to go with Yes on both since this is one of my favorite Yes albums and one of my least favorite Rush albums.
  11. I was born in Jacksonville, FL. I answered 10 miles from the coast because I am pretty sure that's about right to where my Mom was living at the time. My Dad was overseas (in the Navy).

    Fly By Night

Played the whole thing in the car yesterday on a long road trip. I'm with you on Rivendell. My husband even asked, "What happened with this one?" :P :laughing yellow guy: Sorry Catherine forgot about Rivendell Oh I don't mind it myself but I think it's hilarious that blueschica's husband even caught on that it didn't quite fit on the album.

  14. Rush is obviously in my top ten with Permanent Waves being my favorite album. So top 5 besides Rush would be: 1) Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree (Hand.Cannot.Erase-SW and In Absentia - PT) 2) Opeth (Blackwater Park) 3) Neal Morse Band/Spock's Beard (The Similitude of a Dream-NMB and Snow-SB) 4) Haken (Affinity) 5) Genesis (A Trick of the Tail) At least this is my current favorites.
  15. I'm totally in the same boat. As much of a SW fan-boi that I am, you'd think I'd have all of them. I have none. I've "sampled" them online, they just don't hit the spot. Same here. It surprises me that I can't get into Blackfield because normally if it's SW I am in.
  16. He's pretty damn good in my book. What's weak about him? I was wondering the same thing.
  17. I like it quite a lot. 4 stars for me.
  18. I only read Ghost Rider. It was okay but I guess it's just not my kind of book. I have been tempted to read the most recent one but not sure if it will make me sad or pissed off so haven't taken a chance on it yet. :D
  19. Foo Fighters Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers Metallica Neal Morse Band/Spock's Beard(NM era) Sorry, couldn't leave any of these out so you get 4.
  20. I am currently obsessed with Haken. I would dearly love to go to Prog Power in Atlanta in Sept and see not only Haken but Mike Portnoy's Shattered Fortress set. Alas I will be traveling to Wisconsin that weekend. Sigh. Anyway all 5 of Haken's albums are unbelievable!
