  1. Highway To Hell (Let There Be Rock would be a real contender)
  2. Milla got my vote (RE movies would be unwatchable without her)
  3. Status Quo - Rockin' All Over The World Deep Purple - Hush Heart - Battle Of Evermore
  4. I'm not trying to come across as snotty, I am sincerely wondering. How are the Who albums mentioned were ahead of their time? They are fantastic, brilliant, masterpieces, but other than Pete Townshend's ambition and vision they seem to be albums very much apart of their time. Punk, New wave and disco were right around the corner. what I meant was that i find the 'orchestration' in Tommy, use of synthesizers in Who's Next and both these reasons in Quadrophenia a step forward 'orthodoxy'; IMHO a good number of bands in those years were pushing ahead boundaries but, back to the thread, I find Zep a little behind in the matter. P.S.: I have all the Zep albums anyway
  5. Zep were probably a more consistent band, with Peter Grant providing a further force to the machine, but The Who combined madness with the genius of Pete's songwriting; Tommy, Who's Next and Quadrophenia were much ahead of their time.
  6. I went to London for a weekend a couple of months ago with my wife just one week after the Westminster attack and we didn't feel threatened. But I understand a father can feel some fear for their kids.
  7. Animals is a true masterpiece; we can only blame Floyd for making even better albums
  8. Stevie went too 'poppy' in the 80s but I love her last studio albums since "Trouble in Shangri-La". She remains my favourite enchanter and she composed my favourite FM tracks (Rhiannon and Gold Dust Woman)
  9. Blizzard of Ozz. Best 1980 album, no mattter the contender.
  10. RIP Gregg. Now it's time for the Brothers to play in heavens (gonna be a long list of sold out shows)
  11. Good TV series and probably the one with the best soundtrack
  12. Good. Better him than Michael Bolton in AC/DC
  13. The Good, The Bad And The Ugly Dirty Harry Escape From Alcatraz Special mention for High Plains Drifter and The Rookie
  14. The Spy Who Loved Me (with Live And Let Die close second because of Jane Seymour!)
  15. Not my favourite Bond, but The Persuaders remains at top of my TV series. RIP Roger.
  16. Never understood the bad critics about this album: it's Sabbath at their Heaviest Hour and Gillan still at peak. A Metal masterpiece!
  17. The horror is among us; somehow we have to stop this.
  18. Both true and false: Seventh Son is a great album, but A Matter Of Life And Death is a masterpiece
  19. Whitesnake should have stayed the kind of band they were in late 70s / early 80s
  20. Harvey Keitel is probably the best of the bunch, but I give my vote to Michael Madsen because his character is my favourite in the movie.
  21. Deep Purple In Rock (IMO their best studio album)
  22. Whitesnake (but Slip Of The Tongue remains the worst album of both lots)
