  1. And with 25 people in on it at work, I would walk away with $36 million (well, before taxes anyway)....but I'll still take it! :)
  2. I thought they did a good job but I much prefer just seeing the 3 guys up there. And if they have someone else up there, I am fine if it's in much more of a limited capacity (like Losing It on the R40 tour).
  3. That is the worst side-effect of workers doing lottery pools. If they win, the ones left behind are screwed! My place of employment wouldn't be able to function if about 20 of us left. I think everyone actually chipped in, including the CEO. He hasn't stated whether he will just close shop if we hit it. :P
  4. We had a work pool going for last night's drawing. I'm sure I'll be asked shortly to pitch in once again. And I will because nobody is leaving me stuck here. ;)
  5. Really sorry to hear. It's hurts so bad losing someone. Were you close? Pretty close. I feel terrible for my mom. She came from a large family but this is the 3rd sister she has lost in just over 4 years. :( And thank you to everyone for your sympathy. I have Rush music playing right now and of all songs to come on, "The Garden"...sadly poetic at the moment.
  6. She may or may not appreciate that. I think I understood it in the intended context, so we're good.
  7. Thanks! Yeah, 2015 was a very active year in the life of Rush and I had a lot to say about it. That's probably why. :P
  8. Thank you, everyone! I am glad I found this place and have enjoyed it so far. :D
  9. My aunt passed away today. I am so sad. :(
  10. Interesting because I grew up on Journey and Boston...the Eagles I didn't appreciate as much until later. Rush did take some time to grow on me but I think that's largely due to the fact that I didn't really dig deep into their music a lot sooner.
  11. Did you just take yours to Michael's or did you have someone else frame it? There are two other frame shops here in town but I know they charge more than Michael's will . . . just not positive how it will turn out there. Michael's does a really great job with framing. I always wait until they have a coupon (for 50-70% off!) so that the price is not outrageous. Thanks for the info because I was wondering about Michael's. I was just thinking about buying the frame from there and doing it myself.
  12. My vote too, although I admire the way they figured out how to keep fattening their wallets thanks to the mindless sheep of the world. Wish I could do the same.
  13. Best note: I was conceived while my dad was at a Rush concert! Hahaha!!! The "I like the drummer" one cracks me up.
  14. Happy New Year! Who else is staying home tonight? :)
  15. Sometimes it really depends a lot on when you are introduced to them. I knew people that never heard of them until Moving Pictures, and then were turned off by how "overplayed" Tom Sawyer and Limelight were at the time and as a result they still harbor negativity towards the band. First impressions do matter but generally if you are more sensible you will not write a band off entirely over something like that.
  16. Well first you have to get him to consent to an interview. ;)
  17. I would echo the same sentiments and add that of all the stories I have heard of people meeting him, he really seemed to be good to the fans and you always have to admire that. RIP, Lemmy.
  18. I am upset that my sister got a court summons after being in a car accident. This woman is claiming all this pain and suffering, etc, and asking a ridiculous amount in damages. She was not injured after the accident, in fact her car was still driveable (unlike my sister's) and she chose to get a new car (which she expects my sister to pay for). And my sister is very poor herself and driving an old car with over 100,000 miles on it. Some people are just such pitiful assholes.
  19. Ugh...not something anyone wants to hear. My mom was first told back in 2007 and was devastated but I will say, some 8 years later she is doing very well. I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis but like my mom, I know you can still live a fulfilled life.
  20. I never saw the original movie in 1977 but then was taken to the theater in 1980(?) to see The Empire Strikes back. I was thoroughly confused.
  21. Right up there with No Quarter as my favorite Always loved No Quarter myself.
