I have to go and buy "Trick of the Tail" again. I knew it back in the late 70's/early 80's when I was a very young kid and liked it. So why it has escaped me for so many years now I don't know.

Only about 3 years of being a fanatic. Was just more of a casual fan before that.
-
In my case mostly musicians and pretty much all married (or in a serious relationship).

Thanks...I asked because not only was I curious but my brother asked. He told me when he saw them on the MP tour and also Power Windows that he doesn't remember hearing that, and PW is already 1985. I remember doing it when I first saw them for Power Windows. I'll always remember them hitting the stage lights when all of the arms went up in the air. :haz; Well this is my brother so I am sure his memory was also a bit clouded by alcohol.

UFO had some really great tunes. Love To Love, Only You Can Rock Me, Looking Out For Number 1, etc. They are coming back around on tour but without Michael Schenker. Boo......

I am the one person who chose Before and After. Love them both but this is one of my favorites from the debut.

Space Shuttle Challenger - 30 Years Ago Today

Was sitting in my algebra class my first year of high school when the news hit. I remember the classroom had a TV on a cart and my teacher turned it on so we could watch it on the news. It still makes me sad thinking back on it, no matter how much time passes. -
Damn, does this mean he was in my neck of the woods and I missed him?

Well the big day has finally arrived and the weather is actually decent here in Chicago for January 22nd, which makes for a much more pleasant trip to the "concert hall". :) Looking forward to it! :haz:

Winter sale? I thought that meant they had Rush scarves, gloves, and ski hats. Darn. :P
-
Love the debut. And I'm glad I appreciate that early, raw Rush sound. :)

Where did you see that? The official Powerball website says that results are still pending. Wisconsin's lottery website has crashed from all the users..... :laughing guy: :laughing guy: Just bozos posting on Facebook. Hardly a reliable source, I suppose. I do know that my workplace did NOT win the big prize, unfortunately. -

And with 25 people in on it at work, I would walk away with $36 million (well, before taxes anyway)....but I'll still take it! :) -
Did You Like the Clockwork Angels String Ensemble?
Xanadu replied to DirkPrattLerxst's topic in Rush
I thought they did a good job but I much prefer just seeing the 3 guys up there. And if they have someone else up there, I am fine if it's in much more of a limited capacity (like Losing It on the R40 tour). -

That is the worst side-effect of workers doing lottery pools. If they win, the ones left behind are screwed! My place of employment wouldn't be able to function if about 20 of us left. I think everyone actually chipped in, including the CEO. He hasn't stated whether he will just close shop if we hit it. :P -

We had a work pool going for last night's drawing. I'm sure I'll be asked shortly to pitch in once again. And I will because nobody is leaving me stuck here. ;) -
Really sorry to hear. It's hurts so bad losing someone. Were you close? Pretty close. I feel terrible for my mom. She came from a large family but this is the 3rd sister she has lost in just over 4 years. :( And thank you to everyone for your sympathy. I have Rush music playing right now and of all songs to come on, "The Garden"...sadly poetic at the moment.
-
She may or may not appreciate that. I think I understood it in the intended context, so we're good.
-
Thanks! Yeah, 2015 was a very active year in the life of Rush and I had a lot to say about it. That's probably why. :P

Thank you, everyone! I am glad I found this place and have enjoyed it so far. :D
