  1. ok that makes a lot more sense then. Thanks!!
  2. Looks legit, maybe someone else on here has 1 just like it. Post the picture of the both the NEW and old - COA. i can't figure out how to post a picture that's not from the internet, but the new one is the same style as the old one, a print-out, but it's 1. in color 2. hand-signed instead of the signature being printed on, 3. there's an SRO-Anthem stamp that he put on as well and 4. it includes the numbering of my litho in the COA it doesn't look fancy or anything, but it looks a lot better than the other one
  3. I was worried because the COA is a piece of crap. There would be no way to tell if it was faked. The guy made a photo-copy of his other COA and assigned it to this one. Anyways, Anthem responded. Of course it is legit, and he's sending me a more formal COA.
  4. Anthem records never responded. I resent the email a couple nights ago and also messaged the seller on eBay. It's really weird. The COA is a photo copy of another one that was sent out with another autographed litho that the seller had. Any ideas of what to do? My parents already spent $400 on the poster and $200 to frame it, so I'd feel bad even bringing this up to them. But I'm legitimately worried.
  5. that would be unbelievable. The only thing is, they kinda have to end with a radio hit that resonates with everyone. I'll switch the S&A songs with The Garden, that would be epic
  6. in Neil's interview on Sirius XM tonight, he mentioned the idea of a chronological setlist when he tossed around different things him, Geddy, and Alex talked about when discussing the set for this tour. What if this is actually what will happen? I don't think they'd make the whole set chronological, but maybe half of it. The first half of the show could be an arrangement of different songs they want to play, maybe some deeper stuff. The second half could be a total time machine through their whole career in order. Not exactly a song from every album (that would be one long half of the show), but something from every period in order. This example set would be unbelievable, and although it looks ridiculously long, it's about the same length as their CA setlist. Set 1: Tom Sawyer Animate Digital Man Open Secrets The Enemy Within/Red Lenses Vital Signs Cut To The Chase Emotion Detector Prime Mover/Available Light Natural Science YYZ (with drum solo) Set 2: Working Man Anthem The Necromancer 2112 (O, ToS... I want the full thing, but I don't think it would fit in this set) Xanadu Hemispheres: Prelude Free Will Red Barchetta The Weapon Time Stand Still Presto Resist Armor & Sword/Faithless The Garden Encore: The Spirit of Radio Broon's Bane ---> The Trees La Villa Strangiato
  7. i listened to most of it, it got cut off at the end so i missed the last 10-15 minutes. i have a feeling they'll do some kind of chronological set for half the show. maybe the first half will be stuff they want to play, some deeper tracks. the second half will be a chronological time machine through their whole career. if you're interested, i'll make a thread to discuss the possibility with an idea of what i mean by this kind of setlist.
  8. i gave in to the brokers and ended up paying $380 a piece for 18th row in Chicago. Couldn't get anything face value from any of the pre-sales. Such a terrible industry. The ticketing industry should really take a hint from the VIP sales the past couple tours that wouldn't give you your exact location until the day of the show. I'd have no problem with being told I have 2 tickets in a certain section but not knowing the exact row if it meant I was paying face value instead of double it. They should at least do this for the closer sections.
  9. this summer in Chicago will be my 4th show, and it'll be my first time seeing them up close. all the other times i've bought the cheapest seats possible
  10. I've never had a terrible concert experience, but the worst opening act I've ever seen was 2 summers ago (woah, I thought it was last summer until I realized.. damn time flies by) It was Hessler, they were opening for Slash at my town's annual July 4th festival, Naperville Ribfest. We were about 20 feet from the stage. The band before these guys was pretty good, they did some original stuff and mixed in some Foo Fighters. I thought the band after it would be better than that, and no... They start setting up the stage, and the drumset looks like a creepy version of Ringo Starr's tiny kit. I seem to remember there being voodoo heads set up on the stage. They soon come out, and they're all half naked. Covered in makeup to make them look like there's cuts all over them, all the clothes they were wearing was ripped up and mangled. And then they start playing... All it was was a ton of sound as fast and as loud as possible. The drummer was beating the crap out of the drums in seemingly no order. The guitarist was playing chords as loud and fast as possible. And the girl singer, who was probably pretty attractive if she took off her blood makeup, was singing a bunch of nonsense that was hardly comprehensible. And then the guitarist jumps down off the stage and starts crowdsurfing. Less than two feet from me. I have it all on video, I just happened to be recording when he jumped down into the crowd. here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40T_jOl4MR0 keep in mind that this is at a charity event meant to raise money for child abuse......
  11. i was in the nosebleeds for the Chicago show last tour at the UC, I was the only one in my section standing :( hopefully your seat is up towards the top, or else people will probably get pissed off. i'll be there too! but i went a little crazy and bought floor seats of stubhub as for tips, everyone else is saying to look up the setlist, but i say don't. i'll probably be avoiding this website like the plague from opening night until 6/12 AND unfollowing most people i follow on Twitter that are into Rush just so I don't get any sniff of what will be played. i'll put it this way, you hear the songs that are played no matter what. would you rather be excited when they play your song by surprise at the concert, or find out a month in advance? I choose the first one
  12. Now what would be truly heartbreaking is if seats 10 rows or closer to the stage go on stubhub for less than what I paid. In past tours, what did these seats sell for usually?
  13. if it's less than "of this magnitude", the tours will be shorter and the ticket prices will only go up. yeah, i paid a lot more than i planned (i wanted to stay under $250), but i'm glad i locked in good seats and i'll be right in front of my idol, exactly where i wanted to be.
  14. 18th row on the aisle right in front of Geddy... $380 a piece. my dad's best friend and i have never been that close for Rush before.. but it's the last hurrah. SO EXCITED!!!!
  15. $114 for 28th row floor isnt that bad in comparison to the value for the Chicago show. The whole floor for Chicago is $190 and all Ive been getting all day is around the 45th row

  17. same for the chicago show.. a couple tickets about 45 rows back popped up but thats it
  18. i dont know about the Buffalo one, but I know the Chicago show has a mobile pre-sale that's tomorrow morning at 10. I just got off the phone with someone from LN and she said that you don't need a password, and there are blocks of tickets allocated to this sale too, just like the fan pre-sale. good luck!
  19. i don't mind when i find people that are "sorta" into Rush, I actually really like it. it promotes conversation and i just really REALLY like talking about the band. what i find more entertaining... is when i'm wearing a Rush shirt and someone asks me to name a few songs by them, questioning my fandom since i'm younger. i was wearing a Moving Pictures shirt at work not long ago, and one of my bosses asked me to name 2 songs off the album. i rattled off every song on the album, in order, without hesitation. all he said was "ok, good" :dweez: #win
  20. That might be tough.I snagged 17th row last Friday and it still was almost $400 with fees included for two. well they're around $300 right now on StubHub for rows 20-25. there are 2 up there on Geddy's side, row 22 for around $290. Hopefully once the public sale goes Friday it'll flood the market and i can snag some That only makes economic sense. It's supply and demand. I'm monitoring the secondary market for Newark because I can't afford (2 kids in college & a 3rd heading in the fall) presale or on sale. I'm looking at April or May before I can consider it. The cheapest on Stub Hub on Safurday was $200. Instinct is to panic especially with the weight of missing out on presale. Three days later, there are seats for $99. The more tickets in the market, the cheaper they will be. IF otbers can resist the ridiculously higher prices, then the rest of us will benefit down the road. exactly. however, $190 is a fair price for good floor seats and i'm hoping I can just get it from the mobile sale thursday

  22. i just want to be able to sit in the first 15 rows for the Chicago show without having to pay over $250. If I can snag a couple in the next couple days I'd be ecstatic
