I like that idea maybe for a back of the leg piece. I could maybe incorporate those lyrics around a picture of a girl literally standing on a ledge in front of a seascape, turning her head around or up to look at the stars...I wish I could think of a way to incorporate the razors edge part as well...perhaps make the ledge really narrow and sharp looking. Options, options.

My name is only unusual for its spelling, Elisabeth. My mom's name was Cinderella though :D. She hated it whilst I loved it.

This may be somewhat premature and cheesy, but I'm just looking for ideas... So, I'm thinking a picture tatt based around lyrics from the pass could be very meaningful to me. I'm gonna post the segment of lyrics I have in mind, and just let me know if any cool pictures pop into your heads :). "Here you are standing on a rocky ledge, Looking down into a heartless sea, Can't face life on the razors edge, Nothing's what you thought it would be...Everyone gets lost in the darkness, Dreamers learn to steer by the stars...Turn around and walk the razors edge" (Way too much probably :P)

How about playing CoS in its entirety at a local bar...That could be fun hehehe...

^^Too bad, he's not allowed in my band of BFF's no matter how much he continually agrees.

I still get pumped whenever Rush comes on the radio as well. In fact, just last week while I was transporting a client, Freewill came on as we were pulling into the driveway. After the client got out, I cranked the volume and rocked out hard for a few minutes, lol. I'm developing a reputation at work and school of being that crazy chick always wearing a Rush tee :).

Just to make you feel better, my mom had 2 pink flamingos in her yard that I gave her which she decorated in some festive way for every major holiday. I even named them :D (Coriander and Ziggy).

Oh man, FoL for the young childrens, brilliant ;). The bars around here all have the digital jukeboxes, so you could find pretty much anything you wanted. Next time I'm at one, I think the hipster crowd would do well with back to back AFTK and Hemispheres...

This is awesome. My experience was not so random, but happened last summer when I was first fully getting into Rush. My job is working at a group home with persons living with mental disabilities...so, they liked to go play pool at this local hall sometimes which also has a kickass jukebox. I decided I needed to hear 2112 at that moment (or every moment at that time, lol). So, I think I downed about $5 into the juke to play the entire album all in a row. I had a blast in the least :D-13: .

^^ Just you wait, we're gonna go on tour and take the world by storm.

^^ Hell no! He'll try and kick Geddy-head out of the band of friends. RD-Head is not allowed to partake in our adventures.

I could never keep my best friends in a box ;).
-
^^Yes! And no back talk ever, just a comforting, enthusiastic nod.

The cost is too much, yet not that bad for 3 good quality bff's. Oh how grand our adventures shall be.

Yeah, I totally just ordered the Rush bobbleheads. I need help. But at least now my new best friends will be arriving by post in a couple weeks :P.

This was SO hard! Had to go with Hemispheres though because song quality is just a hairs breadth better than PeW. But still, that vote hurt.

Thanks Lorraine :D. Seriously though, if this dumbass could shit dip, it'd be streaming out of every bodily orifice she has.

My roommate is a dipshit. Her parents are here visiting and she totally has them wrapped around her finger. Middle class morons who think their daughter just got the charity volunteering experience of a life time and now think she has seen the vision of what poor people in ghettos have to go through. This girl sits in her room, acts like it's a drug den, is a klepto, and never takes care of her cat. First this idiot wants to be a nurse...then a math professor...now it's f***ing peace corp. She just has it all planned out...get her degree, help tons of people, have the fam, etc. Can I punch her in the face??? I really, really hate stupid people who are also total posers. I'm just laughing so hard right now because she is so ridiculous. Her parents would prob think I am a psycho if I wasn't staring at a computer.

That was interesting...I would probably dance to it in the bar while slightly tipsy actually :digi: .

Never listed to The Pass before...a few hours ago? Wow! I still remember the first time I ever listened to it- the first time I heard Presto, when it was new. I was 16 (and I alluded to my sister in my first post in this thread- she was 19). Different from any other Rush song I'd ever heard. I'm still a Rush newb (altho much less so than last summer) and like to take a lot of time absorbing each album. Over the past 4 or 5 days The Pass has been cemented into my head in a good way. This semester at college has been really tough, and with other life stuff going on (1st year after my mom passed), depression and anxiety have been knocking heavily at my door. Just hearing "all of us get lost in the darkness, dreamers learn to steer by the stars" and other encouragements throughout the song gives me hope and urges me to keep going in spite of all the danger (**bad Beatles reference). I <3 The Pass.

I had not yet listened to The Pass...wow, this one is very powerful. I'm sitting here with fresh tears on my cheeks b/c something in the emotion of that song hooked right into a tender spot in me. Not corny at all that this song means so much to you and others. I think it means a lot to me now.

To me, I can't separate these albums. AFTK is like the beginning leading into a middle climax. Hemispheres takes up where AFTK leaves off, so middle to a very spectacular and satisfying end.

I still say a moo cow named Bessie has a chance at winning this gig...

A cow doped up on steroids with a bell around its neck.

Having my tax return deposited in my account gave me a bit of a boost today :D.
