  1. How can they deprive of us hearing the greatest song ever? We must hear it once more!
  2. Personally, I love the album. And your criticisms are super hilarious! Your complaints are legit, that's for sure, and I have noticed how Rush typically starts every album with the most rocking/catchy song. A little bit of demonic trickery on their part!
  3. Definitely! If they cut the vocal part from the Prelude and went into Xanadu, it would indeed be perfect! Geddy could totally pull off Xanadu
  4. For me it's between Permanent Waves (mostly for TSOR and Natural Science) and Hold Your Fire (mostly for Time Stand Still, Prime Mover, and Turn the Page)
  5. Its very possible that they do Hemisphere (Prelude). They did it on the Counterparts Tour in conjucture with Xanadu. Its was Brilliant! I don't think it's very possible, Geddy butchered the vocals (not that I blame him!) when they did this on the CP tour! Butchered the Vocals? Its an instrumental.. I don't recall him singing at all during Hemispheres (Prelude). Here this might refresh your weary mind: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH5jYLRcl08 Geddy starts singing at the 2:50 mark. What are you talking about?? I edited my post. He just changed the Melody a bit! It surprising what you sometimes remember from a show. I didn't remember him singing at all then as I was playing the video.. I said oops... Need to back track. But the vocals sound fine. He just changes a few notes there at the end. For the most part I guess he pulls it off just fine, but at certain parts like when he says "The struggle of the ancients first began" it's really bad! I would hate to see Ged try to sing it now!

  7. Gruber was Satan. Neil sold his soul to him for a shitty new drumming style. The sticks may be adorned with satanic symbols
  8. The Sprit of Radio, Time Machine tour 2011 at The Gorge. God damn, it was awesome!
  9. Just voted. Looks like Rush is kicking ass so far, screw Pearl Jam! Grunge is nothing next to Prog!

  12. I've seen several complaints about Geddy's vocals on the TM tour and I don't really understand it. I thought Geddy sounded perfectly fine on the TM tour, IMO he sounded better than he did on the CA tour. What songs do you think he did a poor job on? He was fine on the TM tour the show I saw (St. Paul MN). On the other hand, the TM tour DVD is borderline unlistenable because of the vocals. I don't have any problems with the DVD vocals. Can you elaborate on that?
  13. Finally! Someone had the courage to say what we were all thinking!

  15. I would rather have recordings of the vocals played over top while the boys just rock out! For the most part, the instrumentals just don't do it for me, I like the songs with vocals much more
  16. I don't think that Everyday Glory is about child abuse, more about how the good deeds you do for your fellow man every day are more important than you may realize
  17. I've been listening to the mid-80 to mid 90 stuff alot the last month or so. None of it is in his range. The only difference between 70s range and that stuff is that he quit screaming. Its just as high as any early stuff except maybe some of Hemispheres and Freewill. Singing rather than screaming is the only real difference. I don't know how he pulls any of it off anymore. I would say most pre PeW songs are in a higher register than the mid 80s to mid 90s stuff. It's more than just the fact that he stopped screaming, which he never really did that much of anyway
  18. I think Geddy could! For sure! Maybe they would have to slow it down a little bit, but he could hit them. Nope. If Geddy can still pull off Marathon, he can do Available Light
  19. Totally with you on the Weapon -- its time.... as well as a different HYF tune...Prime Mover would be fantastic! Prime Mover is one of the best songs on HYF for sure, but if they're gonna play a deep cut from that album I'd much rather see Turn the Page or Lock and Key. Rush at their finest, heavy 80s prog rock!
  20. I don't think Geddy had super high range in 04. To me, it seems like his range has pretty much been the same since the 90s
  21. Considering the Flowing: (What Alex stated about rare tracks, The Re-Release of Vapor Trails and the Debut Album "RUSH", The Rumor by Eddie Trunk, they are Recording New Stuff, The Success of CA and 2015 being the 35th anniversary of PeW) Here is my Wish/ Prediction Setlist): 41st Anniversary Tour: Set 1: R41 Medley (Finding My Way, In the Mood, What Your Doing, Working Man) (Rare) Limelight Caravan New Rush Song (Never Played) Medley: By Tor & The Snow Dog-The Necromancer-By Tor (Reprise) Rare Cut to the Chase / Alt. Alien Shore (Never Played Live) Vapor Trails / Alt. Ceiling Unlimited w/ Solo (Never Played Live) Open Secrets / Alt. Chain Lightning (Never Played) Limbo - (Drum Solo #1) Show Don't Tell Clockwork Angels Set 2: The Spirit of Radio Freewill Jacobs Ladder (Rare) Entre Nous (Rare) Alex Acoustic Solo - Different Strings w/ Extended Gtr Solo (Never Played) Natural Science (Rare) New RUSH song # 2 (Never Played) New World Man The Anarchist YYZ -(Drum Solo #2) Hemispheres (Prelude) Rare Xanadu (Entire) (Rare) 2112 (O/T/F) Encore: Far Cry Tom Sawyer Headlong Flight 2nd Encore: Closer to the Heart (Extended) I placed in two new RUSH songs cause I think they will release two new tracks sometime Early 2015 Prior to tour. :rush: :haz: :rush: That would certainly be a kick-ass set! I think the Preulde of Hemispheres into Xanadu is a long shot though, based on how poorly Geddy sang the prelude on the Counterparts tour
  22. It's great to hear the two greatest axe-men ever to walk this fine Earth give so much props to one another! Adam even used to use the "A Passage to Bangkok" riff as a lead-in to their song "Cold an Ugly"!
  23. (Using hands to block the lights) "Hellllooooooo out there! How are you guys doin tonight? We've got about a billion songs to play for you tonight..."
  24. I'll definitely get it. I'm sure Rush doesn't give two shits about not making money from it
  25. It's hard for me to believe that the most skippable track in their 70's catalog would make anyone's top ten list. Clock's in at a mere 2:35. No Alex. No Neil. No Alex? No Neil? What are you talking about? I definitely hear some drums and guitar in there
