  1. They are? Well...depends on whether you enjoy Totem Poles, Dogs and Echo Testing. Do you like being Driven? Don't Resist...I know you want to answer... And Roll The Bones is a stone cold classic! And as for Presto, don't ever "Prestop". Yes, all of them are great. Everything from 2112 to presto. Dont ever "prestop"!
  2. Now, this song eventually becomes rocking but my fav slowed down song is a rush classic, closer to the heart.
  3. In that video I realized that the reason why geddy lee is singing so high is because it isn't the original audio. The audio is from exit stage left.
  4. If I had to make a list, this would be it: 1. Moving Pictures (Limelight, Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta) 2. 2112 (2112, a passage to bankok, the twlight zone) 3. Signals (Subdivisions, New World Man, the analog kid) 4. Power Windows (The Big Money, Marathon) 5. A Farewell To Kings (Xanadu, Closer To The Heart) 6. Permanent Waves (The Spirit Of Radio, Freewill) 7. Presto (Presto) 8. Roll The Bones (Bravado) 9. Counterparts (Animate) 10. Fly By Night (Fly By Night) 11. Clockwork Angels (Caravan) 12. Vapor Trails (Ghost Rider)
  5. So back to my previous post. The only 2 singers that i think havent changed (meaning their hair hasent gone primarly gray, and their voice didnt becaume like geddy lee) is mick jagger and barry manilow. Paul Mccartneys voice went down a little bit, but hes been pretty good too.

  7. I like the studio versions better then the live versions, especially the more recent ones. I dont like the more recent live versions, mainly because geddy lee cant reach some of the notes like he used to. Its been like this pretty much beginning during vapor trails. However, in defense of this argument, this is a video of geddy lee reaching the high notes during "closer to the heart" filmed at the toranto rocks concert, 2003, vapor trails. Now back to the other side of the arguement. If you look at geddy lee nowadays (time machine, clockwork angels, snakes and arrows), its all he can do to get the higher notes. Whereas if you look at the live version from a show of hands, he can get most of the high notes perfectly.
  8. I like mostly everything from 2112 (temples of syrinx, presentation, overture, a passage to bankok, the twilight zone), and I also like the classics from moving pictures (tom sawyer, YYZ, limelight, red barchetta)
  9. Another song that I like is the studio version of animate. I origanally thought it was from roll the bones, but its actualy from counterparts. A classic rush track that i LOVE is limelight from moving pictures. Like i said before, theres so much good rush stuff, i could on and on. The big money, tom sawyer, YYZ, closer to the heart, presto, bravado, xanadu, and on and on. Another thing that isnt so related to this specific thread, but I like Alex Lifesons speech from rush's rock and roll hall of fame induction earlier this year.
  10. This is hard, since there is so much good rush stuff. Because of that, i am going to list multiple favs. My 2 fav albums are the 2 "classics" - moving pictures and 2112. My fav songs are tom sawyer, limelight, presentation, the temples of syrinx, red barchetta, and subdivisions. Now, like i said before, theres so much good rush stuff its hard to dicide one fav. If you wanted me to list all my favs, it would be a REALLY LONG list.

  12. I like "tom sawyer" from ESL, but if you ask me what the best version is, it would be the studio version. I also like the studio version of "overture" and "the temples of syrinx" from 2112, but if you ask me, i like the whole song 2112, plus "a passage to bangkok" and "the twilight zone". Theres so much good rush stuff, i could go on and on. Theres a little bit to give you an example.
  13. Whats your fav song and which version?
  14. I would say: The Eagles - Hotel California Paul Simon - Greatest Hits (Shining Like A National Guitar), Graceland Steely Dan - Aja The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Axis : Bold As Love The Beatles - Hard Day's Night, Revolver, Help Paul Mccartney - Wings Over America, Band On The Run Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II Simon and Garfunkel - Bridge Over Troubled Water Foreigner - 4, Foreigner, Double Vision Iron Butterfly - In a gadda da vida The bold underlined ones are the major albums (the really good ones).
  15. I think that their set list stays the same or almost the same for each tour.
