  1. Rush is not heavy metal. Although their early stuff is influnced by Led Zeppelin and Cream, those bands arent really heavy metal.
  2. My Mix would be : Subdivisions Finding My Way Limelight Xanadu (studio, and esl) The Spirit Of Radio Red Barchetta Lessons Force Ten Anthem Dreamline Show Dont Tell The Camera Eye Closer To The Heart (ESL) Mystic Rhythms Scars Stick It Out Animate The Analog Kid I know its kind of long, but Rush is sooo good it hard not to make a long mix. In my opinion, this is all of the good stuff to me. If I were to create a set list for a Rush tour, it would be something like this.
  3. 70s - Finding My Way 80s - Red Barchetta 90s - Dreamline 00s - Far Cry 10s - Caravan
  4. What are your thoughts on rush still performing live at this point in time?

  6. Rush says YY zed, I say YY Z
  7. omg I LOVE VH!!!!!! Im listening to 1984 right now (HOT FOR TEACHER)
  8. It depends on what version you listen to. Now, they do a reggae version and it's completely different. If you listen to all the worlds a stage, it still sounds the same, but he has his own style with that too.
  9. http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php/topic/132936-did-neil-peart-ever-march/
  10. It needs to be released in the 70s too. Permanent waves was jan 1 1980.
  11. Here's my list. This is going to seem obvisious and accurate: 1. Anthem 1. Closer to the heart 1. Xanadu 1. Fly by night 1. Bastille day 1. 2112 1. The twilight zone 1. Circumstances 1. The trees 1. Working man Get where I'm going?...
  12. Did neil peart ever perform with any drum lines and/or drum corps?
  13. That dosent sound right. A remaster of moving pictures wasn't released on cd between 1981 and 1985.
  14. Now, I don't know about you, but when I listen to the more current live versions, I don't like it. Mainly because of geddy lees voice. He can't reach the high notes now like he could before. Neil and Alex are fine. Even something as recent as feedback or vapor trails, he's starting to have some trouble with that material too. He's even worse with stuff like moving pictures, a farewell to kings, and presto.
  15. OMG. Two epic rush songs in my opinion is the camera eye and XANADU.
  16. That was prob a remaster, because signals was first released in 1982. The first rush album on cd probely wasn't grace under pressure. I remember that my cousins dad got that album on cassette tape. He was going to see them on the grace under pressure tour, but he ended up not going.
  17. Looking at setlist.fm, they performed it on the exit stage left tour, but not on the actual exit stage left video and live release.
  18. Just a question. In neil pearts DVD taking center stage neil peart says that they thought they never played the camera eye on the moving pictures tour but someone recorded that they did. So my question is, did they ever perform the camera eye live on any tours before time machine.
  19. They're probably still practicing their techniques while on break. These guys aren't the type to let one thing slip if they can help it. If they were, we wouldn't be talking about their greatness in the present tense. Well, I don't think they should announce retirement just yet. Why would they want to do that when they're practially the greatest band in the world? Taking a break in between tours in fine, which is usually normal, but don't forget, the whole time they arent on break. Don't forget, if they are going to go on tour, they need to write new songs, record new songs, and then perform the new songs on tour. Thatlightinyoureyes has it right. They're not going to let anything slip if they can help it. Wouldn't that be silly since they're already the greatest rock band in the world?
  20. I like the set of them that he used for exit stage left.
  21. Well, now that thatlightinyoureyes mentions it, it is always interesting to see how geddy lees voice changed over the years. However when I ask this question I am talking about his range between 1974 and 1987. We can also study his range between 1989 and 2014.
