  1. I made a post in a Rush Facebook group about getting a job to save up for tickets. Some random dude commented and offered to buy tickets for me. At first I thought he was joking until he messaged me saying that he's serious. Now of course I'm not gonna take his offer because it seems kinda sketchy, and I already applied for a job. Personally I want to work for the tickets so it'll be much more rewarding, and I can help my family get decent seats. Would you accept an online stranger's offer for Rush tickets?
  2. I am. I'm in a lot of Rush groups which take up most of my news feed. I don't post in those groups or on my own profile a whole lot but i do comment on group posts. My love for Rush is mostly expressed here and on Tumblr.

    Cats!

    Emma loves being outside
  4. no not yet :sigh: i heard my dad say he wants to see them on the last show at The Forum (i really dont care if its the last show, I just want to see them). i also heard him mention floor seats. my mom said that floor seats aren't always the best option depending on how far you are. if we can get close enough floor seats then that'll be great but if not then i'd rather sit on one of the side lodges. when my family saw them we were in the nosebleeds. i mean, it was still a great experience and thankfully we brought binoculars, but i want decent or semi-decent seats.
  5. i really hope i can see them in Irvine or Los Angeles. it would be great to see both those shows but that's a long shot. i'm even considering getting applying for jobs in order to help my family save up for tickets. i mean, i need a job as it is but Rush tickets will be a great incentive for me.
  6. Im definitely going to see them in Austin (its outside, a Saturday, and my birthday), considering Tulsa and Dallas as well thats my birthday too! too bad i don't live in Texas.
  7. I'm pretty sure we know what made everyone's day today
  8. "spoiled liberal punk" im laughing so hard why did they bring his assumed political views into this.
  9. damn I've never put that into perspective. but with all the changes in between it doesn't seem like as much of a drastic change.

Rodger is home again and he's doing much better! His cone keeps bumping into everything lol.
  14. I totally understand what you're going through. Being depressed and suicidal is the worst, there's no doubt. I'm depressed and suicidal as well and I know I'm not the best at giving advice, but I can definitely relate to you. I'm also scared of getting a job, not being successful in life, etc. Getting a job is definitely not easy, especially if you're shy/lack confidence. But trust me, someday you will get a job and hopefully things will improve for you. You really just need to get out of your comfort zone! There's all kinds of things on the internet that will give you tips on getting a job and acing a job interview. Once you get a job, your confidence may improve :).

    Birds

I'm so glad you made this thread, I love birds so much. My family has a bird feeder right outside a window in our living room so the birds that nest on my neighbor's roof constantly use it. There's mostly finches that use it but sometimes we get doves. They usually look similar to these http://tsuru-bird.net/finches/finch_purple_female_spring_california_1a.jpg http://www.goats4h.com/birds/uploaded_images/DSC09801-727135.JPG http://www.duncraft.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/cowbird2.jpg http://californiaoutdoors.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/mourning-dove_usfws1.jpg
  16. I like it, it adds energy to the song in my opinion. I really like that song in general because it helped me walk away from a toxic friendship.

So Rodger is at the vet for about 2 or 3 days because of a urinary tract infection. He's doing pretty good even though he's stressed, I don't blame him, having a urinary catheter doesn't seem pleasant. He's unblocked is able to pee which is pretty good. I got to visit him today. He's not a very pretty sight right now but he was happy to see my mom and I.
  18. my mom picked me up from school early, now im finally free from the wrath of my newspaper teacher. finally I'll have a stress-free second semester.
