  1. Don't know what kind of job you're going for so it kind of depends. But personally, and assuming it's an office or professional position, I'd play it safe and go with a suit OR the standard white dress shirt, necktie, & a vest. I'm applying for an internship at a national TV channel. I have a feeling that suit and tie would be too formal.
  2. Some pictures I'm going to use with my job applications. You think that might work?
  3. American Sniper. Irony can be cruel.
  4. Almost Famous. Put me in such a sentimental mood I couldn't sleep the whole night and missed school today.
  5. Yet? What, are you waiting for something? ;)
  6. Okay, just quickly googled it. I've had it before in conjunction with sinusitis. Hurts like hell.
  7. I hate allergies. I'm beginning to feel my eyes itch a little when I'm out. My allergy is grass but I guess it hasn't spiked yet, since no one is out mowing their lawns yet. I don't know why it is, but it feels like everybody waits for the worst day to do that. Wasn't aware that allergies can cause sinus headaches. I'll keep and eye out for that.
  8. Watching the Joe Rogan Experience podcast with Bill Burr on Youtube, drinking coffee and telling myself to get off the couch and make me some food.
  9. Ohhh, that sounds challenging . . . . but in order to avoid similar or longer situations in the future, are you able to have a talk along the lines of, " you're the new guy so we wanted to let you know we usually . . . . x, y, z. . . . (let housemates know when weird older bros are coming for the night, etc.) ? Might be worth it, even if it's a bit awkward. I feel for you; your description of the brother mumbling to himself the whole night is very vivid! I've already come up with a new house rule: It's okay to have people over when you're there yourself, of course, but if you're lending your room out to someone you need to clear it with those who live there. Seems like the right thing to me. I wrote the guy who owns the apartment and happens to be a good friend of mine voicing my concerns, and he told me that if it became something he should deal with I should let him know. That calmed me down and the situation resolved itself. Oh, and I actually had a wonderful sunday in spite of my shitty saturday night :)
  10. The V4.0 was brilliant. It had a password which you could figure out from the posts on their Facebook page :D http://hakenmusic.com/haken-os-console I have an Interface Design teacher who I think will love this
  11. This requires a little prologue to make sense: As I have mentioned somewhere before I live in an apartment, which is shared between 3 (myself included). Lately there has been a bit of change ups and that stresses me, because I'm not exactly the kind of person to be inclusive of everybody. Not that I hate everybody, but I also don't go pretending to love all mankind. This is just to give you a sense of how I feel about my domestic situation. The latest edition to this apartment is a weird looking hippie guy. Seems a little off but nothing serious, apart from that he smells like a heavy smoker and doesn't look like he cares much about personal hygiene. Luckily he's rarely at home. Okay, fast forward to today. Without any notice his older brother comes by late in the evening to use his brothers (my hippie flatmate) room who just had a baby. Apparently his older brother needed a baby free night. Understandable. Still would be the courteous thing to let me know beforehand. But I let it slide. Which turned out to be a bad idea. If my hippie flatmate is weird, his brother takes the price. He was awake the whole night kind of mumbling to himself and keeping me awake. My sunday is probably going to be crappy. It was just a weird situation suddenly having a complete stranger in the house, and I probably should have put my foot down, but I'm so damn passive aggressive that I'd rather poison his beer than taking the confrontation. That'll likely take 10 years off my life.
  12. My first impression is that there's too much going on at once. But I'm not here to rain on your parade, so I'm outta here :hi: ;)
  13. Scored a bag load of music and some movies for less than the price of a new movie. A music store is having a bankruptcy sale and is having 90% off everything! Got me some, Metallica, Jeff Healey, Depeche Mode, Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler, Dio, the Kill Bill movies and American Sniper. I think tonight will be well spent with music, movies and G&T :D
  14. As a web developer and webdesigner I love their website :D
  15. Today a group of policemen came into Christania (a little area in Copenhagen known for it's Pusher Street) and seemingly started smashing people with their batons. Photographers documenting the conduct of the police where having it too, and they even started harassing a guy in a wheelchair. Now, I know possessing and selling hash and cannabis is against the law, but what I saw was so over the top I'm furious right now. And what we have of police brutality in Denmark is nothing compared to USA and I guess large parts of the world. I don't know, it can't keep going like this. I guess something's gonna give. :sigh:
  16. http://youtu.be/72TKzqgJZss What the f**k is the world coming to?
  17. When I read the title my heart rate didn't go up one little bit. Guess I don't care.
  18. If all goes well I will be even happier tomorrow ;)
  19. Ask them where the capital of Stockholm is
  20. Oooo Alannah Myles...whatever happened to her? She was hot as hell. But I digress. Robert Plant had sex with her, wrote a song about it (29 Palms) much better than Black Velvet, and then discarded her and she fell off the face of the earth. So that's what the song is about. Always wondered.
