  1. When they go on the next tour I will call my bank with a list of all European dates and an estimate expense list.
  2. I accidentally told my then-girlfriend she looked pregnant (her stomach were always a bit bloated). The plot thickens Edited to avoid misunderstandings ;)
  3. When he starts the chorus to Subdivisions with those arpeggios and the way the melody flows. Got goose bumps just writing this ;)
  4. Subdivisions in Amsterdam 2013. That song has been a favourite for many years.
  5. I have a hard time imagining them doing a big "This is it" tour. Somehow it doesn't fit Geddy's laid back attitude. However, Rush is also a big machinery so who knows? Also, they are creative beings and you just can't switch that off. Some things in Rush may change, but I don't think they'll sit at home getting older. People with drive tend to burn the candle all the way down. When they stop we will have an extensive back-catalog of the most awesome music, unrivalled by any other band. We will look back on all those great moments shared with the guys, friendships made and feel blessed that Rush has been there for 4 decades :-)
  6. I have talked to my bandmates about how cool Rush is. That doesn't seem to impress them, but most of the time when I just put their music on without telling their feet start tapping. When I put on Clockwork Angels they feel it and kind of surprisingly asks "is this Rush?" When they know their age. So for me it works best letting the music do the talking - there is no words I can speak that will do it justice.
  7. and oh dear was she on fire! The crowd was electric and she came on very warm with a great sense of humor. My mom had a friend who couldn't make it to the show, so lucky me I guess :) Any of you been to a Bonnie Raitt concert or is going to one soon?
  8. Yay, I finally got it ;) Great episode, haha
  9. No, I don't want to be with her anymore. In that regard I'm free to do what I want. All my friends says it's time to set myself free, and I feel it's 'bout time. A year has passed - enough is enough.
  10. Hi guys I went on one hell of a bender last night which helped me think of something else. I removed all photos of her on my FB page and that felt good. I know I must unfriend her on FB, but we are talking 5 years of my life that doesn't serve me any purpose anymore, and frankly I'm a little scared of that void it may leave. I might be able to be friends with her eventually, but not on FB. Too many pictures that doesn't concern me. I want to thank you for your support, it helped me a lot and even gave me a chuckle :). It's nice to know that I can lay it all out and people will actually take their time to respond and care.
  11. Congratulations and happy birthday too :) It's a great dvd box with great shows on them, so you're gonna enjoy them I'm sure.
  12. My vote for Audrey. I think Adele is a bit too feisty to my taste, and Audrey oozes with sweetness. Oh heck, they both do ;)
  13. Around when Rush in Rio came out is the first time I can remember listening to them, although I probably heard them before without noticing. I was hooked and bought every live dvd from there on after. But after buying my first record, Grace Under Pressure, 4 years ago, it took to a whole new level :)
  14. Hey One thing first: Facebook is not good for a troubled heart! Last summer my then girlfriend took a two month language course in London. During those two months she withdrew from me a lot, and broke up when she got home. Around new years eve she changed her relationship from single to in relationship on FB, and now there are pictures of them in London. Now, last summer it was the Olympics so I can see that most of them are not from back then. There is one that stands out, however. They are standing in front of that school were they met, hugging and kissing. Could mean they're just revisiting the place the met each other, doesn't mean a thing necessarily, but one commenting on that picture changed it all for me: "Once upon a time last summer. Love is in the air". Now that Devil is sitting on my shoulder and whispering in my ear again :| . Maybe I'm just paranoid. Maybe I should let go, and maybe I shouldn't care at all. Maybe you think I'm crazy (no offense if you do), but I needed to let it out.
  15. If people think some of Neils lyrics are goofy, they'll probably stab their eardrums out when they hear all the crap that's on radio :codger: the point is very well taken... but that still doesn't make the song good because the lyrics don't suck as bad as so many other songs by other people. I agree on that. But if I listen to one or two modern pop songs on the radio, I'm amazed at how well I can put up with Neil's goofy lyrics after that ;)
  16. That's what fascinates me and - dare I say it? - attracts me. Needles to say, these traits are what I'm striving to achieve.
  17. I don't get him. He marries you, he humiliates you and won't touch you? I mean, I have taken someone for granted once that I shouldn't have, but this is just ridiculous. I wish I could chime in with some "wisdom" since I'm a guy, but this just leaves me perplexed and shaking my head in disbelief. :sigh:

  19. If every dinner time were like that, I'd eat all the time :)
  20. "These are magnetic right?" :rfl: :laughing yellow guy: :spitwater: :laughing guy:
