  1. I'll be following along but most likely just checking my twitter timeline. I'll be busy trying to get a teething 5 month old to sleep durng the process. May have to bust out the "Rock-a-bye" baby Rush CD!
  2. You need to get out more. Lol. If you want applies, read some of threads. Whatever THAT means... I think you're right. I think we have his single kick set for a chunk of the show - stuff that may be referenced in teh tour book with videos, then the double kick comes out and they dive into their older material, with no videos - other than of them playing. We'll find out tomorrow as I'm sure it'll be posted everywhere!
  3. i can see his single bass kit being used for the stuff that showed up in the other spoiler thread. Then this kit is used for older material that may not have video accompanyment. But we'll see. Can't wait!
  4. meh - if that's the only bad thing, I'll let it slide. Overall a great piece, and man - wish I was in Tulsa this week.
  5. I WANT THAT KIT!!!!!!!! Love that pic! Boys are going to have some fun on this tour I bet! Can't wait! T-minus 22 days for me!
  6. Finding my Way Start R40 with Track 1 on RUSH 2112 could also be up there. Overture/Temple to start, and then Finale to end the show
  7. Didn't they use green lasers for Natural Science on SnA tour? Thought I remember that.
  8. It is what it is. Not gonna worry about it. If this is part of the set list - then so be it. I like all the songs, so it'll be good. But I think this is just a smokescreen, and they have tricks up their sleeves. Just enjoy the fact that this may be the last time you get to see them perform these songs live and in person.
  9. I'll use my phone to snap a few shots and try and record Neil's solo, maybe a few snippets of other songs - just to tide me over until the cd/dvd comes out. Love getting the solo because it is always a little different from show to show. Most places are cool with it, as long as you don't have it out the entire time
  10. I spoke with the Greensboro Coliseum - and they welcome it, but can't guarantee anything (which I imagine will be the stance most venues take). As someone posted earlier - plan it so it arrives a day or two before th eshow, and direct it to Rush c/o Liam Burt. Also - be sure and include a return envelope with paid postage, and it's probably good idea to include your own sharpie (and not expect that to be returned). I did this on the CA tour in Charlotte, and got my signed Permanent Waves album back about a week after the show. This time, I'm sending a drum head which shall be mounted on permanent display in my drum room
  11. I sent an album in to be signed on teh last tour. Got it back about a week after the show. This time, sending a drum head to Greensboro Coliseum. They ahve confirmed that they wil accept thigns for the band. Aplologies for the typos! lol
  12. Ummm.....NO! I won't even let my wife bring my kids to hear my band, (daughter is 3, son is 3 months).
  13. Well - I know Greensboro will accept things and get it to the band. I'm attending that show and sending a drum head to be signed by the boys.
  14. I don't see that happening. As a drummer you know that muscle memory is a big part of playing - knowing where every drum and cymbal is placed. going from 1 set to another presnets challenges for that, not to mention mic/mixing. I can see having more than 1 set made as you need to have a backup when going on the road like that, and who knows - he may donate one, and keep one. I think the kit we saw is what we'll have.
  15. I heard back from the PR Manager for Greensboro Colisuem - for anyone going to that show, they said fans are welcome to send stuff, but they dont' gauarantee anything. But odds are it will get signed and returned.
  16. And also, his electronic drums (at least the Rolands) looked too acoustic. With the Simmons, you had something that looked radical, different, and downright AWESOME. I get what you're saying, but my preference would be to have something that more resembles an acoustic kit. Pearl actually has something like that now. It's an electronic kit, but if you were to look at it, it had shells that replicated an acoustic kit. I've never been a fan of electric drums. I wouldn't mind having a set to keep at home so I can practice without annoying my family, and then I could keep my acoustic kit set up in our rehearsal space - but that's not gonna happen. That money is going to day care, diapers, and formula - lol I guess when you like other types of music other than rock and metal, you begin to love the sounds of different instruments. I mean, I LOVE 1980s new wave/disco music which is why I adore the famous "DZZSH" tom-tom sound. You make a great point. And I like all types of music - HUGE fan of the 80's stuff (as cheesy as it is), and not a huge metal fan (I dont' consider the hair band stuff really as metal - which I like a lot), but that's what a couple of pads and triggers could replicate. Nothing better than turning on my ipod and having a Gene Krupa tune followed up with Van Halen, followed by James Taylor, Nelly, Pearl Jam, Bob Marley, Jason Aldean, and Pentatonix (and of course Rush - that goes without saying). I get the appeal of electronic drums - they offer so much in terms of different sounds and unique things they can do. Just not my cup of tea. I prefer the tone of acoustics.

  18. Don't you think sending multiple items is a bit greedy? Seriously? No I don't. I'm spending over $150 for a ticket, plus whatever postage is to mail this stuff to the arena and back - I dont' think that's being greedy at all.
  19. Thanks for linking that. I was searching for that thread yesterday and couldn't find it. Hoping Greensboro Coliseum does this. I have one item for sure. Has anyeone ever sent in multiple items to be signed? I'd like to get Roadshow or Traveling Music signed by Neil
  20. I remember on the CA tour, there was a thread where people could put addresses of the venues with info as to how to send memorabilia in to be signed. I did it with a record album to the arean in Charlotte, and within a week I had it and it is now framed behind my drum kit. I want to get a drum head singed by the boys this time around. Got it ready to go with the bigh RUSH logo in the middle. Anybody know if this will be an option again for this tour? Specifically looking for Greensboro. Thanks! Rush on!
  21. As a drummer, double bass pedal is so much easier. It's hard to find the space in a club for a double bass kit. I have a small, 5 piece kit and barely have room to set all that up. The double pedal makes it so much easier - set up, micing, tuning - all in one! I'm ok with no electronics. Never been a huge fan. They don't have the same feel or sound and I want to hear acoustics! He has pads and triggers, which he can use to make them sample whatever he wants. he's 60 freakin years old! Scaling back isn't a big deal to me. His acoustic setup is exactly what it's been since VT tour. I can't wait! Wish I could jsutify $1500 for one of those snares! That along with Ludwig's Twisted Salesmen and Black Beauty are my dream snares!
  22. Miss the most : The Spirit of the Radio Miss the least: Tie between Bravado and Roll the Bones

  24. those pics don't do justice. There's a really good one of Audrey in another thread, where she is SMOKIN' hot!
