  1. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/a8/Dallas_Buyers_Club_poster.jpg/220px-Dallas_Buyers_Club_poster.jpg Really well done, and both Leto and McConaughey deserve their oscars. It was great throwback to the late 80's as well. It really shows you what it must have been like in the early days of the AIDS epidemic to be diagnosed with the mysterious illness and the struggle with bureaucracy to help find a way to simply stay alive. It was a little long but that doesn't detract from the movie and how well it was done.
  2. If he really wants to see some spectacular abscess videos, he needs to look into the ones featuring horses. We're talking astonishing volumes of creamy, custard-like pus. Buckets full - anything tagged "pigeon fever" ought to deliver for sure. There's also a cow one somewhere in which they lance one on the cow's leg; it's pretty damn impressive. Thanks for the warning...I'll be sure to NEVER look those up!!!!
  3. Have always been in favor of a B-Sides Tour...Maybe we'll finally get it!!!!
  4. Ever since I tried juggling chainsaws, I'm not handy at all.
  5. There's always blood. Over the last few days i've been trying to get my thoughts together about the latest episode. This was probably the best episode of the series. While the show is dark and the comic even darker, this last episode was the darkest of the series so far. I wonder if that means things will be headed more in that direction going forward. Considering there are less survivors and those that are still alive are getting more desperate to find a home and supplies, it can very well get much darker. How about the development of Carol's character through the series? Who would've ever thought watching the first two seasons that she would turn into the person who makes the tough decisions and does what needs to be done no matter how bad it is. I agree about Carol. She has turned into a very tough customer.
  6. Never mind best of second half of season. Best show of the series.
  7. Force Ten Tia Shan Dog Years Rivendell You Bet Your Life Madrigal I Think I'm Going Bald Didacts And Narpets The Larger Bowl The Spirit Of Radio You should focus on a Styx cover band 'cuz you sound a lot like Dennis DeYoung.
  8. It's another really good season of Justified. If anybody else is watching please speak up. If you haven't seen it yet, your missing a great show.
  9. Me too. I'm 7 or so in and It's just about lost me.
  10. I've watched this show from the start. I'm not a big fan of these competition shows with elimination and all that, but this show is good. There is some real talent on it, but some real duds too. I'm not impressed with anyone from this season so far.
  11. I know I'm probably the only one here, but I like these episodes after the prison. I like the journey, the simplicity of the episodes and that I'm not screaming in my head, "Why didn't you fortify the fence or get a big truck or do something else to strengthen your position?" like I used to do all episode long when they were in the prison. I really found those episodes frustrating. Anyway, I know I'm probably alone on this but I like these episodes. Interested to see what The Terminus or Terminal or whatever it's called is going to be.
  12. I don't know how you did that thingy with the spoiler, so I gotta do it the olde school way. SPOILER ALERT!!!! Definitely liked the creep factor of the old fort(?) with all the crazy root/stick/branch/dead bodyness. And it was definitely edge of your seat viewing. Really liked that series and I liked how Rust had a change of heart there at the very end, and that they were buddies as well with the :tsk: . But....I'm NEVER satisfied (WTF is wrong with me???!!!) and there were a few things that I wasn't crazy about but I'll wait to get some more replies before I share them. Overall what a tremendous show. That was top notch.
  13. I'm so old I have that St. Louis show on vinyl. :codger:
  14. I've seen every episode and I'm waiting for something to happen...lots of swearing, some full frontal, some f'n...lots and lots of names that are hard to keep track of, a somewhat confusing plot line...it's not terrible, but it isn't great either. It wouldn't be hard to stop watching 'cuz there really isn't anything great going on, but it's juuuuust good enough to hold my interest anyway.
  15. Glad to hear things went well.
  16. I agree, it was a boring episode, but by far not the worst we've seen. I really like the stories of the survivors now that the group has split up. I hear of talk of people who are disappointed after the fall of the prison, but I like it. It's kind of a throw back to the really early days, not that those shows were very good, but I like the loneliness of the small groups. Loved the 3 walkers hanging from the ceiling.
  17. Never knew there ever was a comparison of the two.
