  1. Cool! Glad you're enjoying his playing. Eric Johnson is a Holdsworth fan actually, here's a quote: Allan's beautiful and unique chord voicings have always had an impact on me. His approach to guitar is one of a kind. He pushes the limits of the boundaries of electric guitar, and his lead phrasing would make Charlie Parker smile. His playing is essential listening for any guitarist, of any style, so they can see that the only limits we have are the ones we put on ourselves. ~ Eric Johnson :sundog: That's a great quote, I can hear the influence! :guitar:
  2. I've never listened to him before, but I love his tone; reminds me much of Eric Johnson :guitar:
  3. Congrats LedRush!!
  4. Congrats Enemy Within 77!!
  5. No Vegas. :( Almost no repeat cities on this leg from the fall leg. Any Albuquerque date by chance?
  6. Where can I find their music? They have some songs on YouTube, here's their FaceBook page. http://facebook.com/TheGreylist?id=343245822379640&refsrc=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsearch&_rdr
  7. My buddies band, The Greylist, they're pretty kickass.
  8. No Steven Wilson show, the closest venue is too far :( shame, I love his new album and loved Insurgentes. But I am going to try and see Electric 6 on February 20 :haz: one of my favorite bands!
  9. Happy Birthday, Jeremy! when I'm of age, maybe than we'll go grab a beer at the next :rush: concert. :D

  11. Ocean
  12. Arctic Monkeys - May 29. :haz: so stoked for this show!
  13. I went to a local Battle of the Bands last May, and there were quite a few metal/death core bands playing some songs, but they were using Line 6 heads and cabs cranked to a distortion that sounded like full-blown ass, I hated it! It sounded way to digital and thin to me, I would've just left, but I stuck around to hear my friends band play their set. I like what they do for the money, but it's not something I would invest money into.
  14. Meshugga is awesome, and Animals As Leaders are an amazing prog band, Tosin Abasi just excels in this band. I have their self titled album and it great. :haz:
  15. CDs: All, including the CA Fanpack with my name in it Live CDs: All DVDs: Snakes & Arrows, and Time Machine, but I've seen every other DVD and bonus discs as well. Bootlegs: Black Forest, A Desperate Voice, Kiel Auditorium, and a few more from around the Permanent Waves era Shirts: 9 shirts ranging from 2004-2012 Rush Lanyard with all my ticket stubs and numerous pins I've collected Alex Lifeson guitar ads I found in an old guitar magazine from 2005, very cool! And my last, and favorite doesn't exactly say Rush on it, but it's my Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 because I just love the tone Alex got in the 90s. And that's just about it, not much compared to some of the greats
  16. This could help a lot in helping me choose a show. Any news on a New Mexico show by chance?

  21. "Hey guys, sorry I can't make the gig, my guitar caught a virus."
  22. It's because Sheldon craves attention and we give it to him like an "adorable"(a-n-n-o-y-i-n-g) pet. Yeah, I was thinking that too, but if anyone posts here, that means Sheldon Cooper will have won.
