QUOTE (cygnusthecat @ Jul 13 2012, 07:24 PM) QUOTE (Todem @ Jun 18 2012, 11:56 AM) 3/17/83 & 3/18/83 Went to back to back nights in Hollywood Florida for the Signals tour. I was 13 and just in awe of it all. I had the crappiest seats all the way in the rear of the arena....but it did not matter. This was my first rock concerts ever to boot. I will never forget it. I don't remember some of it....but I do remember certain things. Like the ho hum crowd reaction to all the stuff off Signals and anytime Geddy would say here is a new one off Signals and the groaning from some people around me...I was like WTF are you crazy??? This is amazing stuff!!! And TCE being played at an insane pace....like they were on cocaine! Anyway great times. Ahhhh The Hollywood Sportatorium. These were my first two shows and I was 17 at the time. They probably were on cocaine..Everyone was on coke, back then. almost everyone,anyways...I know I was!! Those were some wild crazy times back then.

Believe it or not, Eggs are one of the best foods u can eat, especially the yoke..it's got some kind of ingredient where your metabolism is speeded up..and you definitely WILL lose weight...That's a fact! I eat 3, sometimes 4 eggs a day, morning noon or night, and I've lost quite a few pounds in the gut area in the last month or so. Also if you want to lose more, buy snickers dark candy bars. It's got dark chocolate and peanuts, some more weight loss ingredients. I eat one bar a day, and I swear I've lost about 3/4 of an inch in the gut. No joke..seriously. Do that for 2-3 months, and you'll be amazed at the loss. I also do about 200-300 "chair sit-ups" min., a day.

Those are great shots! Looks like most were taken in the 1910-1930 era... Thanks for posting those. My grandparent's were living not far from NYC, at that time.

Idiot Ump Ejects Greinke In The FIRST Inning
go2wrk@95974 replied to Principled Man's topic in One Little Victory
Duh....what a lame brain. slight over-reaction there??? ..Probably a rookie ump.You don't throw a player out in the 1st inning..... Ever...unless a player deserves it.That was uncalled for, it sounds like. -
Way too young to be dieing..did he star with his dad in a couple of those Rocky flick's back in the late 70's/early 80's ?? Or was that just somebody playin' a part? RIP

1968 Dodge hippy fan--red with bitchin' rim's and fat tires. (hand me down from my parent's, when I got my license in early '76'. My dad helped me redo the inside..it was a bachelor pad on wheels, when we got done..complete with carpeting on the ceiling and walls and floor, with a state-of-the-art killer sound system. 4 big speaker's-2 in the front and 2 in back.It was awesome!! lost count of all the cali girl's I shagged in the back of that ride!!!) 1988 Toy truck--Blue with a white shell. Great work truck. Totaled in 2000...I was seriously bummed. I thank God I wasn't killed. 2001 Red toy tacoma pre-runner truck with a black bed-liner. Rides extremely high, because of the big tires. --Great work truck also. Still goin' strong! This one makes up for the totaled one...and then some!

John Wayne..? Yeah Babydoll , good ol american icon the rough and tough John Wayne. In a movie career that spanned 50 years from 1926-76, Wayne definitely made some classics , needless to say. The one and only... Yep no doubt...a real legendary actor. Me and my dad used to sail ( my dad owned a 22 ft.sailboat) by John Wayne's mansion in Newport beach California, back in the mid 70's..His mansion was right on newport harbor, not too far from coast highway. Ol' John had this huge luxury ship docked at his dock..it was completely unreal! The boat was jaw-droping!! Didn't discover until recently that him and my dad were distant cousin's. If I had known back then, I would'a said," Hey, cousin duke..can ya loan me a couple mill???"

QUOTE (circumstantial tree @ Jul 11 2012, 06:23 AM) I find it fascinating to a fault. I used to work with an Irish guy (meaning he was born and raised in Ireland, has the accent, etc...) who thought it was silly that so many Americans claim to be Irish at all. He's thinking is that unless you were born and raised in Ireland by two Irish parents, you are not Irish. I see his point as well. And of all the possible ancestry that Americans have, it's those with Irish ancestors that seem to flaunt their "Irishness" (or their version of it). Well, If you were born in America, but have an Irish last name, you are an American of Irish descent...and you are definitely part Irish. Your friend is full of Bull sheet..Not Irish?? That's laughable!!

Funny that you say that...was in a bar with a close Irish friend of mine when this idiot from Philly (who we knew through connections) came up to us and introduced himself to my buddy. The idiot was using an Irish accent (despite having a complete American accent) when he spoke. One of the first things the idiot asked was, "Have you seen the cliffs of Ireland?" with that badly faked accent. I was embarassed FOR him. The only reason my friend tolerated him was because that idiot kept buying him pints JUST because he was Irish. Shit, I should've said I was from Cork too. http://thelosangelesbeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/IrishIdiot-300x277.jpg Somebody needs to tell this Irish dude that speed kills..... Looks like he's seriously flyin' or fryin' !!!!

Wow,babydoll..didn't know you Englander's were getting a heat-wave over there? Last I heard you were gettin' hammered by hail and floods! The cause of all that is the Earth Wobble, because of the nearby location of planet X in the solar system , which will cause extensive calamity all over the world, in the not too distant future...heck, it's already happening..you just dont know about it, because the govenment's and media's of the world want to keep the people of the world, in the dark, for their own sick, twisted, selfish, sinister, agenda/reasons. My advise? go to higher ground in the Elp's, away from the coastline's of the world. You want REAL news??? go to zetatalk.com You'll get an eye full, and you WILL be shocked. -
Tragic loss..one of the greatest. He had tons of classics. "From here to eternity" and " Posiedon Adventure " Were a couple of my favorites, among many others. 95 is a good long life. RIP Mr. Borgnine
