  1. 2112...in the year 2112!!!.......Duh! ...They're gonna go on forever!
  2. QUOTE (Yefa @ Jun 23 2012, 10:10 AM) My first show was 9/17/07 at Madison Square Garden. 1907 ??? really???....Wow..I didn't know RUSH went back that far ?!?!! That explains everything....how they were able to time-travel thru the years to 2112!!!! Ok..I wonder where the time-machine is located?!??!
  3. ...The power of Lysol/Raid/or a mouse-trap..Hopefully not all at the same time!! That would only describe one thing: You live in a slummy slime-pit! ... or a slimy slum-pit!!
  4. Yep..After about 40 yrs , it's about time RUSH played the land down under.
  5. Never underestimate the power of a coke and a smile!!!
  6. Family fumes?? Is that the show your talkin' about?? ( That's what me a couple friend's of mine used to call it... My dad used to call the host "a kissing clyde" ,cause he thought the dude was goin' overboard kissing all the ladies , like he was some kind'a ladies-man...frickin' hilarious! More power to ya, if you can do it...just don't go overboard, and come across as some slobbering fool!! )
  7. QUOTE (mandydog @ Jun 22 2012, 12:01 PM) Best opening band for me was Toto at my first ever Rush show. They were great because they only played 4 songs and then got the hell out of the way for RUSH!! 4 songs??? Seriously??That must'a been a short set. What happened? Did one of the amp's blow a fuse? Did the guitarist loose his only pick?? or....did the drummer toss up the sticks to the atmosphere/heavens/ozone layer, and they FAILED to return?? Underline the word FAILED?? or...They were booooed off the stage? Which one was it?? My guess? the 2nd or last one!! JK! Never heard of a band playing only 4 songs...that's a frickin' fluke.
  8. The 1976 Studio LP "Rocks" is their best album EVER. It's MUST have.
  9. WOW!!!! All three are holdin' up VERY nicely!!
  10. QUOTE (BrightAntennae @ Jun 22 2012, 10:17 AM) Signals Tour...1983...San Diego Sports Arena...w/ Golden Earring I was at that gig too...Both band's FLIPPIN' ROCKED!!!!!
  11. QUOTE (johndyar @ Jun 21 2012, 06:25 AM) QUOTE (softfilter @ Jun 21 2012, 03:43 AM) Richfield Coliseum Feb,18th or 19th? 1980. I was there! Is that when FM opened for them? That was the Permanent Waves tour. FM only opened for RUSH in 81. I'm pretty sure bout that. Headliner's usually have different band's opening for each tour.
  12. In 86, I saw RUSH 2 nights in a row in Irvine, Ca. Man, it was f'n AWESOME!!!! They just ROCKED! The opening act was, I believe ,The Fabulous Thunderbirds. They were a decent band, and played a really good set.
  13. QUOTE (Ovningskora @ Jun 20 2012, 04:24 PM) QUOTE (beherit @ Jun 20 2012, 04:05 PM) well, the dude's obviously a dumbass for making this thread to begin with, so name-calling would be expected Critical thinking isn't stupid. Some offered some logical considerations and information while you were just... Well, incessant really. My point was made clear and this thread proves that many will regard The Beatles as gods above all other musicians still today when many others are very capable and creative as well. I recognize The Beatles influence and importance, but hold belief no band should be forced upon another like I've seen The Beatles pushed on others. There's the reader's digest. I don't expect you to get it quite yet, so no worries there. You will in time... Your just an attention-grabbing moron... Run along, know it all punk, your mama's callin' ya. Your just a musically-ignorant fool.... You obviously can't connect the dots, on how important The Beatles were to Rock & Roll. get lost numb-nut troll...quickly and quietly.
  14. I can't go without chicken sandwich's , baloney or hamburger's for more than a week....I'm a full-fledged junkie..I admit it!! ..Is there a hot-line I can call strictly for addicts??? ....I might kick the bucket because of it..oh well..life goes on.
  15. QUOTE (Ovningskora @ Jun 20 2012, 11:20 AM) QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ Jun 20 2012, 10:53 AM) Dumbest thread ever. I agree, no one's being objective. Everyone's just offended at the thought of the Beatles not being as greatest thing to happen in the musical world No.. you're offended at your opinion not be excepted here..simply put. You believe today's band's are just as good if not better than The Beatles. You are dis-respecting the greatest rock band that ever lived....and it's fan's....That's a cardinal sin, in my book..Period.
  16. Nothin'...Sun's shinning-blue skies-half n*ked women on the beach.... What's to be pissed about??????????? I got no complaints.
  17. I don't think the dude should quit his day job... Let's just put it that way.
  18. QUOTE (beherit @ Jun 18 2012, 12:53 PM) I like every Rush album
  19. It was June 9th 1981...San Diego sports arena. S.D. Ca. FM was the opening act. It was a GREAT show!!
  20. Little Richard is right up there, but I think Chuck Berry was even more of a pioneer. Bill Haley and the comets started it all, if you want to get technical...then Elvis came along to expand further on the rock & roll theme.
  21. Puff-puff-puff.....Definitely needed a bomber after that latest Beatle "discussion".... Holy smokes.
  22. No, it's reality and fact. I see where this is headed. It's like a dog chasing it's tail...going round and round. Time to go to another thread.
  23. Grow up Beatle hater.....cause it's obvious that's what you are. Give the band it's JUST DUE.
  24. Obviously, musical ignorance is contagious on this thread, with a couple people , when it comes to The Beatles, the greatest EVER, as the subject matter...You simply just don't know how it was.Ask any Rock Historian, and they'll tell you The Beatles were huge..a true phenomenon. Every Rock band, from 64 on, owes tremendous credit to The Beatles for their huge impact on the music scene...Without them, we would be on a different musical time=line completely.Who knows..rock might not've even happened/existed in it's present form. That's how influential The beatles were to popular music, imho.

Just curious... That was frickin' funnier'n sh*t!!
