  1. QUOTE (Lost In Xanadu @ Aug 15 2011, 08:43 AM) Yeah, terrible. I got mad at a friend of mine this weekend who said: "At least they didn't have to sit thru a Sugarland concert" That's a horrible thing to say.
  2. It's just a terrible tragedy all the way around
  3. QUOTE (Babycat @ Aug 14 2011, 03:31 AM) People have actually died doing this stupid act, from lying flat across railings, bridges, even a statue. It's not funny or clever. My honest opinion. You're right. Some einstein did it on the edge of his highrise balcony. A gust of wind blew through, and he fell to his death.
  4. living in Dallas I hear of this alot, especially with our 40+ day streak of 100+ degree heat, many days got as hot as 106 to 107. just dumb people i guess.
  5. Stick It Out (even though i love it) for Peaceable Kingdom Closer to the Heart for Resist (full band)
  6. Chutes and Ladders with Snakes and Arrows.. sorry, not my idea.. i've heard it other places. Maybe the game of Life, starring Rush. Each little block is a milestone, big event, etc. in their career.
  7. QUOTE (USB Connector @ Aug 14 2011, 09:21 AM) This is horrifyingly painful to watch. How could they not have foreseen the high winds? Was the stage not assembles properly? The storm was one in which it came in out of nowhere. The set began with sun and beautiful weather. Just before 9 PM local time, a member of the Sugarland crew came on stage to warn the people of the high winds and inclement weather coming in. However, he told the fans that they were going to attempt to put on the show if the weather permitted. This obviously caused big time fans to stay (If Geddy said, hey guys, there's a freak storm blowing id, but we're gonna try to put on our show soon, ID STAY!!). Anyways, just after he left the stage the 70+ mph gust blew in, and chaos ensued. If it was up to me, i'd say "leave the area, now. if weather comes in, y'all are in serious danger. if the weather passes, we'll schedule the start of our show no later than 10 PM. (They could've also played a shortened set) They have/had shows in Iowa tonight. So they couldn't postpone the show, but i don't know if these shows are still on or cancelled. I bet they lost quite abit of equipment last night.
  8. This happened after on of my faves Sara Bareilles opened for them.. I feel bad not only for the hurt and dead, but for the musicans. That has to have a major effect on someone.
  9. The video was nonetheless disturbing. Maybe because you know that is just crushes people when it comes down. However reports are that a lot of the people that died were crew members working in lights
  10. Especially when you go to see a favorite artist of yours! I can't imagine what effects it has on the artists themselves. Tragic.

  12. QUOTE (fledgehog @ Aug 13 2011, 11:27 AM) what the f**k is up with her nose though lol the stage collapsed after her opening for Sugarland tonight, killing 4 and injuring 40 plus, many of which are in critical condition. that's gotta suck for a musical act.. but i don't have a problem with her nose!
  13. A 70 mph wind blew down the stage where acts Sugarland and Sara Bareilles (a personal favorite for me) were performing. Four people have been confirmed dead while 40 more are injured, many of which are in critical condition. However, all of the members in each act are reportedly safe with no injuries and no harm. 14. There are no other fans. Rush is the only band ever made. Of course we're unique. Only kidding. Honestly I'd say we're average for bands that have been around forever. Just the typical fan base that stays with the band..
  15. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Aug 8 2011, 07:18 PM) If you don't play golf you're a communist. Best quote of the day. Lololol
  16. Probably two of the best covers I've ever heard of Rush all around just solid. The fans were into it too. Musical talent is very good. The singer is very good at doing the Geddy thing. I honestly thought y'all we're using a backtrack of Geddy in the very beginning. Amazing work.
  17. QUOTE (greg2112 @ Aug 9 2011, 06:32 AM) I agree. She's very talented, and easy on the eyes as well. She is gorgeous! But she also has this raw musical talent. Not what some pop music is today which doesn't need instruments at all! And she is very good live as well.
  18. Isn't a Prime Mover also some sort of machine?
  19. Isn't BU2B about evolution? And how science overrules beliefs? Idk for sure. I hope I don't sound stupid but that's what I get from it.. I just think its coincidence that thy sound similar lyrically.
  20. Bautista is roided up man.. I'm sure they're just taking a break. They'll start work again in a little while. No Rush. No pun intended.
