  1. Not it. I agree that is really generic stuff. But I could see how that could be the same band/musician. Keep in mind I only heard about 5-10 seconds. What I heard was not generic like that...had a great little Geddy-esque bassline. Could easily be mistaken. As I said....moving on. Nothing to see here. This must be a sign of withdrawls from lack of new Rush!
  2. Thanks for the welcomes. Sorry to start a thread that so easily got off topic whether golf is fun to play and/or watch on tv. The answer is....it's fun to play AND watch! I don't care what any of you say! I am also doubtful it is Rush, but whoever it was clearly had strong influence, and the bassist copied Geddy's sound. It just sounded so much like it could be I was caught off gaurd and ended up rewinding the clip a few times to listen again. I am sure it was not Caravan because I've listened to that tune many, many times! I was hoping someone else would have noticed it too, but I guess not. Moving on...
  3. New to the forum. Love reading all the Rush info. Did any golf fans out there catch the Bridgestone Invitational this past weekend? I only caught the last couple hours, but I swear the commercial breaks had a song playing that sounded distinctly like it could be new Rush. The Geddy-like bassline was unmistakeable. The guitar and drums fit right in too. But definitely not a song I've heard before. Now, I'm NOT saying this is new stuff off the upcoming album, but is it possible?! It was just a little 10 second instrumental snippet, but we all know the Rush sound when we hear it. Probably just some sound-alike band, but it was a great tune and the bass was dead-on with the Geddy sound. What do you guys think? Does anyone still have it on their DVR? If it's not Rush, I'd love to know who it is to check out more of their stuff!
