  1. No supposedly, they have had some rough ones. Last two were 7.1 and 6.5. We had a 5.7 in 2020, we are on a big fault on the Wasatch. It can be very unsettling to be sure.
  2. There was some bad blood over the last two games with these teams. Rempe made some bad hits and served a suspension. Refs wouldn't let them fight the last game they played so it was expected they would duke it out at the beginning. Just didn't expect everyone to go at it.
  3. Fights will always be a part of the game, period. The league has been actively working to lower the incidence of them. I've been a fan since the 70's and they have dropped off dramatically from the games I've watched. Personally I am glad we don't have these types of brawls as much because the game is so much more fun to watch with all the great scoring and passing. But sometimes there are cases for payback and this was supposed to be between just two guys and it blew up. These teams have a big rivalry so guess it just happened.
  4. McDermott gave Rempe a good fight. This was crazy, everyone expected this fight but the whole group???
  5. Saturday's game with Nashville much better in the 2nd period, started hitting back and the comeback was on. Have 26 so far this year. MacKinnon got 4 points so he's ahead in the points again. 7-4 Avs win! p.s game with Rangers was exciting, just came up short. Enjoyed this game much more
  6. Yes, a very Happy Birthday to you!
  7. Ok, Avs got beat by Montreal Tuesday . Strange that both times we have played them this year we lost Got the Rangers coming to town tonight, let's hope we woke up from that funk on Tuesday...GO AVS
  8. Good to see her out and about, didn't know she was a Boston fan
  9. Avs pile on the Jackets 6-1. MacKinnon ties a record of Gretzky's 2nd most consecutive home wins at 33. This team is fun to watch. May just win the conference after all.
  10. He wasn't thinking, just doing what he always does. No wonder he's been suspended six games
  11. You are braver than me, don't think I could read those. Other than a couple of Stephen King novels, I have not read much horror. A big fraidy cat, moi.
  12. Avs continue on their win streak. Rantenen has a hat trick and McKinnon got another point. Won this one in regulation, all those overtime games are crazy.
  13. Saturday's game against Edmonton was fantastic. Hard to believe this was the first time the Avs have played them this season. It was a close game but one big thing that stood out to me was how many more blocked shots the Oilers had against the Avs, we were shelling Skinner. But it remained tied at the end of the first. Second is when the scoring started, had a penalty shot and a goal disallowed for kicking it in between both teams. Our deadline trade pickups were doing a great job, Walker almost had a hat trick. Welcome back Lekhonen, this guy is a swiss army knife, can do it all. And with 0.2 seconds left scored the winning goal. We always go to overtime against the Oilers, it's fun but nerve wracking too.

    The Worst of Rush

Ok plenty of stinkers here, but Working Man, Fly By Night, Closer to the Heart, and LIMELIGHT??? Can't agree with you there
  15. Glad Jon Stewart is back, this episode is great...love his self own. So good I watched it twice. It's the March 11th episode
  16. I enjoy Bob Cesca, found his podcast a couple of years ago. He is a big Rush fan and good friends with Donna Halper. The majority of his stuff is political so it may not be everyone's cup of tea. He talks to Donna at least 4 times a year. She has been a professor for many years and is a very smart lady who I enjoy listening to. Here's a link to the newest show with her on Valentine's day this year https://www.bobcesca.com/the-bob-cesca-interview-donna-halper-day-2-14-24/
  17. So sorry for your loss of Crookshanks (wish there really was a spell you could use for him ) I can relate, we lost our 14 year old Rusty almost a year ago and I still miss him
  18. Me either, that was pretty gutsy of the Wild to do that the other night, big risk to lose your extra point. Glad Avs didn't have to do that
  19. Last night's game in Vancouver was a topsy turvy event. Avs found themselves down 2-0 early in the game and when the Canucks scored again in the 2nd period, it looked like it wasn't their night. Mikko scores a goal with 2 seconds left in the 2nd period, so there's a chance. Avs come out hard and tie it up 3-3 in the third. It was going to overtime but Vancouver hit the puck over the glass with time running out. So Avs get a power play in OT and win it with a crazy bounce off Nichushkin's visor. Crazy
  20. Final Utes 90-51 over Arizona State!! Go UTES!!
  21. Avs start out slow against Calgary but made up for it with a 5 goal burst in the 2nd period. I can see why Avs got some extra bodies at the deadline rather than another goalie. Had Lekhonen and Parise out with illness/injuries. Just lost Logan O'Connor for the season (hip surgery). The big line is scoring like a machine. MacKinnon kept up his points and will pass his own scoring record with one more goal. Nichushkin picked up where he left off, has helped the power play get back on track. Mikko had 4 points last night as well. Now tonight will be in Vancouver, this should be a big game.
  22. I do miss Pat Foley, his voice was unique and loved his sense of humor.
