  1. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ May 26 2011, 07:39 PM) http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/255405_1968137117634_1069134437_2295856_7852533_n.jpg omg, everything about this picture is f***ing brilliance. I love this movie so much from the redonkulous Stonehenge bit to Derek being caught in the airport with a cucumber down his pants to the drummers mysteriously dying... in gardening accidents... or blowing up on stage... ha! When Lady GaGa came out as an egg, all I could think of was Derek Smalls getting caught in that damn pod. St. Hubbins: patron saint of quality footwear. Don't forget it!
  2. QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ May 25 2011, 10:47 AM) http://blog.beardlife.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/tumblr_lbqi9cJ2Hh1qz9muno1_400.gif This is like MAGIC. I love it.
  3. Some of mine have already been taken, but I'll do repeats. http://i564.photobucket.com/albums/ss88/n7rk2/MichaelJacksonThrillerPopcorn.gif http://assets0.ordienetworks.com/images/GifGuide/dancing/280sw007883.gif http://www.myspacelayoutsupport.com/myspace-graphics/images/funny/schwartz.gif http://files.myopera.com/AMGala/albums/200326/SpaceBalls.gif http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lkf3vumVKO1qjyx8ro1_400.gif
  4. I love Star Wars, the new BSG, Aliens, and H.G. Wells, but I think that's the extent of my Sci-Fi (unless you count literary Sci-Fi, which is Wells and Fahrenheit 451, etc.). I'm more philosophically minded than sci-fi (considering I received one of my B.A.s in Philosophy), but I don't like Ayn Rand; if we're talking post-Fascist Feminist thought, I prefer Hannah Arendt, but if we're talking broad spectrum post-Fascist thought, I'm Derridean and Neil is most certainly not Derridean. But bring on Star Wars! And Spaceballs!
  5. I'm sexually attracted to Geddy's bass playing skills. But I stay away from the fangirls. The fangirls scare me.
  6. I love Kanye West. I wouldn't mind if he interrupted me. Or interrupted Taylor Swift again.
  7. QUOTE (skalamander2112 @ May 25 2011, 12:30 AM) uh-oh hot dog! WIN. Jazz is f***ing hard to play. I think any competent musician would know that. Oh, shit...
  8. The American version is very good; they emphasized different things/themes though.
  9. AWESOME photos!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
  10. This whole week, which my friend and I spent trekking around Ireland. It was just... amazing. And to top it off we found a small poster of Neil in a music shop in Donegal Town (I have a photo), we spent the night in Crolly (and at Leo's Tavern) and got lost in the wilderness at night (and shot at, which was funny. Apparently you are not supposed to pet ponies), and spent our last day running Irish Cobs on the beach in Bundoran. Plus, I got to see Rush in Dublin!!! And many thanks to the Rush fans who helped my friend and I when we were confused about the tram. Ha!
  11. QUOTE (Tony R @ May 12 2011, 11:11 AM) Cosy Toes knows: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v308/BaldiePete/cf726989.jpg I hope that t-shirt gets him sticks glocked... Oh man, I think you were one of the dudes who helped my friend and I with the tram! We were so lost and confused in Dublin... thankfully we got out of Dublin and spent our remaining days in Donegal Town and Crolly (excellent!!). Everyone we met at the show (or encountered) was super nice, but we're country girls and Dublin was too much like home. Amazing show, just amazing. I took photos with my iPod, but they're kind of crappy. I may try to sneak my tiny camera in for the New Orleans show.
  12. QUOTE (Drumnut @ May 9 2011, 01:10 AM) QUOTE (Raider917 @ May 8 2011, 10:42 PM)was your incision on the side of the skull or more towards the centre? Looking at my face, the incision starts at the top of my forehead over my left eye and goes up and then down and around to just above my right ear lobe on the side of my face. So I would say, it starts in the center and ends on the side. Hopefully, this is it, this will get my seizures under control and down to taking a minimum of medication. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t313/corvettenut/staplespicforEforum.jpg Hopefully, this picture gives you a better idea. Oh, man...
  13. After the mare was diagnosed with a broken foot and tendonitis/desmitis (we think she recently hurt herself in the pasture because there's no other explanation and it just came up), it's been a rough week with no sleep and barn hours consisting of six to eight hours (with naps in the heat in between stall cleanings and bandage changings). However, I spotted a hole on the side of the hoof wall near the coronary band (where the chip of bone is supposed to rupture) and the mare is putting weight on her foot. I'm not sure if it's from my farrier or from the actual bone, but we'll see. I was actually tempted to cancel Ireland/the Rush concert, but since my friend is going with me, I'm not (and my farrier basically told me I'm not an idiot if I do it). I'm just glad she's feeling better since she was in a lot of pain on Tuesday and Wednesday. Hehe, I like all of the crap to the side (stuff for the treatment, which gets cleaned up post treatment). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v450/Garbo/Horses/photo-7.jpg
  14. I'm not pissed at all, I'm just very, very sad. I found out today that my horse has sever tendonitis in her back left foot and broke a small bone in her back left foot that has calcified (and is slowly trying to get out, similar to an abscess). The vet initially thought she foundered, but in one sense I'd take that over the tendonitis. Basically it was an awful, awful day. In fact, I was told apart from walking she will never be rideable again (which... my farrier, who has saved many horses from worse things, said may not be true). I just don't want her to be in pain. I spent basically all of today crying.
  15. QUOTE (Lost In Xanadu @ May 3 2011, 01:57 PM) I contend it was gatorade... no way it was the stuff barber shops really use...Barbicide My roomie and I voted Gatorade as well. Hehe, that was an awesome episode. "By the way Conan's daughter, Buddy the Elf is about to go off on daddy's face!"
  16. QUOTE (Drumnut @ May 3 2011, 11:25 PM) Still recovering, no seizures! Eating good, still taking my regular Epilepsy meds and some good pain meds from the hospital. I should have the staples out of my head within a week! Yay!
  17. That video is awesome. I also love the stick horse rendition of Edward Gal and Totilas' free style.
  18. QUOTE (Xanadude69 @ May 1 2011, 09:50 PM) Never understood the appeal for these movies/books. I think the stories are mediocre at best, easy entertainment for kids nothing more. Im not trying to troll, just trying to see if im the only person on the forum who doesn't like HP Just out of curiosity, and I mean this sincerely: have you read the books? I'm not starting an argument (so please don't take it that way), I would just like to know.
  19. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ May 1 2011, 04:04 PM) QUOTE (Tarkus406 @ May 1 2011, 04:22 PM) Since when is it pathetic to be a Rush fan on a Rush fan messageboard? Nothing wrong with that. Pumpy is talking about the people who fawn over the band in an unnatural way, unable to take any criticism aimed the band's way, and who are closedminded to other ideas. Criticizing the band does not make someone a troll. That said, while threads criticizing the band are a natural part of message board life and makes for interesting and necessary debate, sometimes you get a small group of people who seem to be on a mission to spread as much negativity as they can because it amuses them to do so, in the form of a lot of threads -- more than the normal amount. And many here feel that's what we're seeing right now. The last thing we want is a forum with 100% "Yay, Rush are GODS!" threads. This isn't Rush's Magical Kingdom. But people shouldn't come here and have to wade through a shitload of redundant "Neil SUCKS!" threads either. Wait a minute... this isn't Rush's Magical Kingdom... are you saying I HAVE TO TAKE DOWN MY DISNEY RUSH SIGNATURE?! The bashing is what gets me. I'm all about critiquing them and saying, "yeah, Geddy's voice is going down hill" because he cannot help it, but bashing them? No. And I'm sick of all of the Neil topics. That's getting old.
  20. QUOTE (rushgoober @ May 1 2011, 11:25 AM) QUOTE (garbo @ May 1 2011, 09:23 AM) As some said earlier, I would agree attention and getting a rise out of people. Since the internet, and technology in general, is an emotionless device, it's pretty easy to post things that are spelled incorrectly and have no foundation in grammar and, in general, are geared toward pissing people off. The ultimate goal then would be for the troll to sit back and watch the shit hit the fan, so to speak, whilst having an easy laugh. We the viewers have no idea what's going on on the other end since there is no emotional connection; all we see are the results. This person, whoever he or she may be, could may very well be an incredibly intelligent person for all we know, simply having a laugh at our expense. Yes, but what do they get out of it? They just enjoy laughing at random people while sitting at home by themselves? Sounds kind of pathetic and sad to me. Well, considering the fact that one of my roommates spends about twenty hours on the internet (no lie. His parents pay for everything and he doesn't sleep), I actually buy that. I wouldn't have until I met him, but now... anything is possible. There are people out there who enjoy this kind of existence and have no lives. I kid you not. Boy roommate is one of them. And he probably is a troll.

I just ignore trolls and consider that the easiest method to getting rid of them. De-trolling, as it were.
