  1. What should be on the list is the "Bad Ass Walk"......where some character is walking towards the camera with the "bad ass attitude". Often, there are explosions or some other intense thing going on behind them as they're walking towards us (the audience). I find it extremely campy and a big distraction.....
  2. 29. Playing With Daddy's Passwords And PIN's 30. Skinny Aunt Suzie and The Puking Game 31. Mommy, Can I Cheat On Daddy Too? 32. Bobby Gets Let Out Of The Basement
  3. I have zero interest in hearing any leaks or spoilers. I'm waiting until the 12th. And I'm also on vacation in Kentucky, so I'm too busy to even care!
  4. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 2 2012, 02:34 PM)QUOTE (metaldad @ Jun 2 2012, 02:27 PM) QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 2 2012, 01:24 PM) I cried a few times after my sister died in January. Holy Shit . I am sorry bro.I had no idea Thanks mate. I didn't do a thread about it at the time or anything, I don't really do those kind of threads, you know? Same here. I never posted when my father died last year (smoking, emphysema, congestive heart failure)....but soon after, someone posted a thread making light of the dangers of smoking....so I added my "input" to the thread..... I think I shut the thread down.....
  5. QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Jun 2 2012, 01:21 PM).....people always say "a watched pot never boils". That's annoying and I don't even know what it means When you stand at the stove and wait for the water to boil, it seems like it takes forever....because you're being IMPATIENT. When you go do something else, and not think about the water, it seems like it boils in no time at all. The water boils in the same amount of time, but your perception of the time changes depending on what you're doing and how IMPATIENT you are. You're welcome.
  6. QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ Jun 2 2012, 01:34 PM) QUOTE (Workaholic Man @ Jun 2 2012, 04:56 AM) I DARE you to watch this video and NOT tear up at least a little bit..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9aau-eqv6gQ&feature=related I'm a sucker for this stuff. Or Make A Wish Foundation stories. I can't help from tearing up...they get me every time. Uh oh....now you did it. I'll be plastering you with these videos from now on..... MUA-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Jun 2 2012, 07:57 AM)It absolutely baffles me that people can be so unaware of where they are and what they're doing when operating a motor vehicle. Quite often, they are fully aware of what they're doing. I share your frustration, but we should remember that people are not required to drive at exactly the speed limit or faster. There is a minimum speed on highways and interstates, but everywhere else, there isn't. Many elderly drivers don't want to or aren't able to drive so fast. And, to be honest, many drivers are simply too afraid to drive fast. Ya just gotta drive around 'em and forget about 'em. Personally, I've almost caused some accidents via my impatience to go around some slow-ass......
  8. QUOTE (clem @ Jun 2 2012, 11:28 AM) Example, my son also likes the Foo Fighters, but I wouldn't talke him to a FF show since Dave Grohl feels compelled to use the "F" word every 15 seconds. Kinda silly IMO. That's the only thing I don't like about Grohl. The band is cool, but he has no regard for what comes out of his mouth.....
  9. QUOTE (metaldad @ Jun 2 2012, 10:37 AM) The only thing worse than getting Billyto do this is Jack Black . All the people in the world and they get Billy ? Corgan is OK, I guess, but I hope he doesn't try to get uber-intellectual. It is GOOD that they didn't get Black; he's an ass-clown, and he would make it about himself. Too bad they couldn't get Taylor Hawkins from the Foo Fighters. He's a big fan, and he seems to be quite down-to-earth and not full of himself, like Corgan and Black are....
  10. QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ Jun 2 2012, 09:50 AM) He's welcome to prove me wrong, though. Don't hold your breath waiting.....
  11. My 19-year old niece, who has been playing violin since age 7 and guitar since middle school, got hooked on Rush pretty easily. It didn't take me much effort..... Rush was the first ever rock concert for her, and she was blown away. We went to the Snakes and Arrows and Time Machine Tours. Unfortunately, she's going to be in classes (Univ. of Cincinnati) during this Tour. No way I can drive 600 miles to get her and go to the Indianapolis Show.... Her younger brother, on the other hand, can't stand Rush.... There's no hope for the boy....
  12. I DARE you to watch this video and NOT tear up at least a little bit.....
  13. QUOTE (SchemingDemon @ Jun 1 2012, 09:40 PM)That looks delicious! It WAS..... Culinary Circle Rising Crust Supreme pizza and a couple of Honey Weiss.....
  14. Tunnel of Love - Bruce Springsteen (1987) I'm not a big fan of Springsteen by any means, but this particular song is magnificent.
  15. QUOTE (troutman @ Jun 1 2012, 08:56 PM)BTW, I will be 52 next week. Then start acting like it and stop the last-word battle.....and stop talking down to other adults by calling them "son". EVERYONE should just DROP IT. Everyone has had their say. The debate is over....and nobody won. Move on.

  18. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jun 1 2012, 11:48 AM) I'd say I cry more than most other dudes, but not nearly as much as a woman. Uh oh.........GENDER STEREOTYPING!! OK, ladies, get the tar and feathers ready!!
  19. QUOTE (Lost In Xanadu @ Jun 1 2012, 09:23 AM) QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Jun 1 2012, 09:12 AM) QUOTE (Lerxster @ May 31 2012, 01:19 PM) QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ May 31 2012, 12:32 PM) Back on topic: I've heard it said that only sociopaths don't cry so you might want to think about getting some help, LIX. This gives me a thread idea. The I've Heard It Said Thread, where people can give worthless advise about things they know nothing about, simply because they heard it said. Yeah! I don't mean sociopath in the terms of, say, "psycho axe-murderer". There are very mild forms in which people can have the disorder yet still be pretty much fine. It simply stems from an emotional problem, usually a trauma suffered early in life. Lots of people suffer from it without even realizing it. I also in no way meant to insult LIX and apologize for not being clearer. I've a good friend who's a psychiatrist, you learn a lot hanging out with people like that. I took no insult, because it clearly doesn't represent me at all. Like I said, just because I do not cry doesn't mean I don't get emotional. IMO, it is completely irresponsible to associate a person's lack of crying with a psychiatric disorder such as sociopathy. Many people don't cry.....and for many reasons. From my experience, it's primarily because the people simply don't want to show their strong feelings in public - nothing more.
  20. QUOTE (troutman @ May 31 2012, 08:33 PM) Personally I think it's healthy, Regardless of one's situation. Happiness, pain, hate, suffering, a loss ect. I think after a bit of time. A person depending on there being. Feels better and relieved. JMO of course. Crying is the body's built-in pressure relief valve. If you don't open up the valve from time to time, you'll explode for real....and it won't be a pretty sight.....
  21. QUOTE (metaldad @ May 31 2012, 09:02 AM) I got them beat, my son was 10 months old when we took him. Outdoors on the lawn and had a great time. He lasted 8 songs and slept the rest of the night . Which song did him in?
  22. QUOTE (Drumnut @ May 31 2012, 03:37 AM) The group actually does have five more Queensryche dates scattered throughout the summer. That'll be one happy backstage for sure.....
  23. QUOTE (kkb2323 @ May 30 2012, 09:14 PM) QUOTE (They Bow Defeated @ May 30 2012, 08:09 PM) I like to stand up when I go to the movies. Do people really sit at movies? I prefer to slouch, but that's just me.....
  24. QUOTE (Lerxster @ May 30 2012, 02:54 PM) QUOTE (Tommy Sawyer @ May 30 2012, 02:46 PM) QUOTE (canadianice @ May 30 2012, 03:45 PM) QUOTE (Tommy Sawyer @ May 30 2012, 02:39 PM) Why is this thread not closed, but some others were? Are you refering to that childish farts thing That and the other 2 that were closed all at once. Despite its pranksterish title, it seems like a fairly legit thread. I'm just surprised there's no Scented Country Air option. Well, I did list "Farm Air".....is that close enough? Yes, my poll was very tongue-in-cheek, a spoof on the other polls. If all the polls are getting annoying, then we can stop doing them. It's all good....
