Does anyone know when doors open? I don't see it on my ticket unless I;m blind. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/wacko.gif

I thought the show started at 7:30 and not 8:00 until just now when I pulled my tickets out.. http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

edit; I realized I thought 7:30 because the online facebook event says 7:30, not 8.

4th show in 7 nights for me... I'm already tired *sighs*

used to be I could do 4 shows in 5 nights, napping at rest areas and sneaking into showers at truck stops. I'm getting OLD!

Hey yeah same here, been with rolling along with the band since Toledo, wish it could go on, my wallet will be glad it's stopping. I'm just happy I finally got another great vacation in meeting up with some great Rush friends down in Ohio.

Hey y'all, I've been looking all over for a Rush meetup and totally forgot about this Rush forum! (I usually frequented the Rushtour forum).

Anyways, some of you guys may remember me... I'm the younger redhead gal, and I think I've already met Enviro Tech (in Toronto S&A) and Barney Rebel (in London S&A). Well, I'll be in Hamilton tonight and will check out Stonewalls to see if I can find anyone I recognize. And if you see me, don't be afraid to say 'hi'. Hope to see a few of you guys tonight, and if not.. have a damn good time at the show!!

Hope to be at Stonewalls by 6pm....will be sporting my Caress of Steel tee.

Bringing my better half....it's her first ever RUSH concert. She had no interest in the band until I dragged her to the BTLS premiere and now she's a fan (although tonight will be the real test).

Glad seeing BY-TORonto and Bastille Night again. What an awesome show!

We partied with Rushgirl at her room for a bit then showed up at Stonewalls and just had a couple of beers at the bar before heading to the venue.

I can say the even though the setlist was the same, but they pretty much changed everything else up and made things really interesting.

Security was tight as hell. I snuck around with my camera and managed to bribe one security guard to let me do a bunch of shots. I'll post them later.

Awesome time last night eh Barney! It was great meeting up with old friends and seeing another fantastic Rush show.

My seat was particularily cool this time, right beside the stage on Alex's side and six rows up. I got to watch Alex warming up his fingers beside the stage while the intro videos were playing, then had a great view of what the guitar tech was doing all night with the guitar tuning and switching out, etc. Still had a great view of the stage and the screen also. Not a great view of Neil though, except when the kit spun around for the middle section of the drum solo. As an aside, I though his drum solo was waaaaay better this time than last year, just awesome!

The crowd in the stands were pretty laid back and sat much of the time, but we were right over at the side and the group in my area were on our feet for most of the night.

I saw Praetorian take Farid and Rushgirl backstage separately for a few minutes each during the show, so I'll have to get the full story on that!

Hey Envirotech, I saw you in the second row all night. How did you pull that off, you sly devil?!

Hey! I had the most amazing time last night, and it would have been perfect if it wasn't for the absolute SHIT weather driving back haha. But even the rainy and cold weather didn't put much of a damper on the night, though maybe it did for the rest of the crowd. I agree, I was quite disappointed with the Hamilton folks at the show, even on the floors there were very few people moving about. I'm glad they at least stood up because I wouldn't have tolerated people shouting at my back http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif If anyone noticed an insane girl in the middle of the floors flailing about and jumping around, that would have been me! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif

The first set knocked my socks off, and the highlight for me was probably BU2B, what a great song to hear live!!

It was great to see my ol' buds again at the show too! It's too bad I missed out on the meetup (ya shoulda called earlier Tom! http://www.therushforum.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif) but it all worked out anyways.

Awesome pics Barney, thanks for sharing!! Sorry you got hassled by all the security, they were quite the dicks last night (though after forgetting my tix at the seat during intermission, one lady was nice enough to let me in anyways).

Can't wait to do it all again with you guys in 2012!!

QUOTE (Bastille Night @ Apr 20 2011, 10:50 AM)

Hey Envirotech, I saw you in the second row all night.  How did you pull that off, you sly devil?!

Magic! But seriously, I had ACellofAwareness (the youtube guy and LIFESON license plate guy) come over to my place. I was right next to him 4th row in Toledo. We did the pink ALEX and GEDDY signs, I know Geddy saw his. Alex seemed to really get into that show after the intermission, pretty sure he got a kick out them too. Anyways, so he's coming over the boarder for the Hamilton show, no ticket for the show even. I had mentioned I had 17th row and 24th row for mom, I know she wouldn't mind not going, so I offered it up to him on the spot, we exchanged contact info and went on our ways for the rest of that week.

Monday he was over and we talked guitars and I showed him my collection, we had a great time! Tuesday we had decided to see if we could luck out with the "promo dump" that usually happens around 5pm. I've seen and heard so many times of folks lucking out day of show. So we were pretty much taking turns clicking and checking ticketmaster and various outlets since about 1pm.

"Dude, keep searching for pairs that's how they let them out." Cell was sayin' to me from my couch, and just after he was saying that at 4:54, I refreshed the page and absolutely flipped out: FLR3 Row 2 as a pair! They wound up being right in front of Alex for the whole night. We met up with some friends of his I recognized from Toledo and Detroit. Apparently they passed on 2nd row very last seats on Alex's side, they must have had something better cause even those were a great view. I gave mom an upgrade to 17th row, she was really happy about that.

That show had to be the best Rush concert I have ever seen, period! The 2nd row helped a lot, I was bummed about having to give up the 3rd row VIP ticket package. So this was the perfect way to make up for it. We made John Arrowsmith's gallery. Apparently in Detroit, Cell and some gal had the photo taken with the ALEX letters but according to John it didn't come out. So after asking John he made sure to take about 4 or 5 during Spirit, even still the photo doesn't show all the letters or plates but I'll take it, I've been to so many shows and never seem to get in any of those photos.

I already posted my revue over on RIAB. I got a score of sweet pictures too! Great pictures Barney!! More detail than my Canon 780 even. Really wishing I could have gone to the meet-up at stonewalls, but it was great thing that worked out with Cell in the end.
