Picnic baskets with food in non-glass containers Coolers (small) Ice Beach and sand chairs (short legs with a maximum height of 4 inches and short back) Blankets, sleeping bags and tarps Umbrellas (patio/beach umbrellas that stick into the ground are prohibited) Binoculars Seeing Eye dogs Cameras: The camera policy varies from show to show. DTE Energy Music Theatre and Meadow Brook does not have a policy prohibiting cameras however, many artists do. When an artist requests a 'no camera' policy, it will be adhered to by our staff. Call 248-377-0100 on the day of the show to check the artist's policy. In the interest of our guests' safety, the following items may not be brought into DTE Energy Music Theatre or Meadow Brook: Alcoholic Beverages Long-legged lawn chairs Bottles, cans or any liquid containers of any kind (juice boxes may be allowed for children's shows) Glass containers of any kind (including mustard jars, salad dressing jars, olive jars, etc..) Patrons without shoes or shirts are not permitted to enter Video and sound recording devices Aerosol Cans Strollers (with the exception of matinee children's shows) Parking Lot Policy Admission to parking lot is pre-paid with $3 per ticket fee. There will be a $5 per ticket fee for MyCompanyOffer and voucher redemption. The parking lot opens at 4:30 PM for most evening shows. The parking lot will open 2 hours prior to the show start for all matinees. Guests are allowed to tailgate/picnic before events. Designated specific drop-off/pick-up area for guests in Parents Park between Main East and West gates. I was actually surprised to see everything the DO allow you to bring in and do in the parking lot. And we all know there's ways round that old "no alcohol in the parking lot" policy. Instead of beers, looks like it might be mixed drinks! I'm not going to be much help in planning, as I'm way up here in Sault Ste. Marie. But I plan on being in Detroit on Monday, trying to catch a Tigers game and then on to the pre show and concert on Tuesday. Whatever I can do to help (besides show up and party) I will. vprtrls Posted July 9, 2007 Share Posted July 9, 2007 I seriously doubt for this concert that ticketholders will be able to bring in anything carryable other than a blanket, a purse, and a phone into the venue. Get ready for a walk back to your car otherwise. See you there in the parking lot to bash. They will have marked Oakland County Sheriff cars on patrol and red shirted security guys/girls in golf carts and on foot looking to see if you are drinking out of beer cans or getting out of control. I suggest using Solo cups that aren't clear and bringing extra for the folks around you. If you get busted they will make you dump all of your booze, even the stuff in your cooler! There are NO bathrooms or porta-potties in the parking lot. There are weeds and bushes with a few trees if you get lucky, watch for poison ivy.
