Great game between Wales and Slovakia. Bale was lucky that the goalkeeper misjudged the flight of the ball on the free kick. Then the two substitutes score. I thought Stoch was going to get one as well, when he came in for the last 15. 2-1 Wales. There will be some Goose Island drinking tonight. :cheers:

It's disgusting. At least it seems as though a number of the main culprits have been caught on camera, so we should see a number of arrests in the not too distant future. People like this shame the vast majority of real football fans who just want to watch the game and have a good time. Some of these people will have just been looking for a fight from minute one, and I can't understand that mentality.

I think this goes beyond soccer. Throughout history, just as an example, the Dutch hated the Germans, the Germans hated the Poles, the Poles hated the Russians, the Russians...football is a perfect tool for these a-holes to live out their fantasies stemming back from the middle ages. If these primitives fight among themselves in their own leagues, bashing a head of someone of a different nationality is a no-brainer for them.

There were stories about Italian fans, after their team was eliminated by Poland at the group stage of the 1974 World Cup, cutting their wrists and throwing TV sets out the window. And when they lost in the final in 1970, the fans met the returning Italian players with rocks being thrown at them. There are countless examples of such behavior in the history of the sport.
