madra sneachta
Oh dear, my brain is on holiday. Best I can come up with is a reference to the time Alex was cracking jokes about Geddy, and Ged got the hump and attacked him Lee Hit Al's Wit, Tone Fell Can I just say I think Rolinda is a wonderful person, and such an asset to the forum, especially when she offers clues to Scrambles which are especially difficult for mere mortals like us because they've been constructed in her clearly superior brain. madra sneachta
Rolinda, as we all know, is an accountant, a career born obviously out of a keen aptitude for numbers. Could it be that she was inspired by a character encountered in her childhood? Someone with whom she was familiar from a very young age. http://pbskids.org/sesame/images/count_05.gif And if so, does she share his characteristics? Imagine, if you will, a scenario. There's a TRF convention, all the members are present. Rolinda goes for a walk, and hears the sound of a string quartet. Upon further investigation, she sees Slaine, Digital Man, 1-0-0-1-0-0-1 and Barney, all of them playing cellos. They looked up, and imploringly asked her not to mention this to anyone, as they wanted to keep their classical hobby a secret. Rolinda, reverting to her favourite childhood game intones in a deep and sonorous voice - One cello player (thunderbolt), Two cello players (thunderbolt) etc. Effectively - Rolinda Counted Shy TRF Cello Geeks

I have yet to win one of these. They're hard! In fairness Rolinda, you have improved slightly that's because you're such a good teacher, sneacht and i have to tell you what happened today. my best friend and i were having lunch at a sandwhich shop and racking our brains over that anagram for an hour. crestfallen, we headed back for work in my car. she says, "let's play some Rush and just listen to the lyrics." (are you f***ing kidding me...since WHEN) so i crank it up, Freeze was just ending, and Out of the Cradle starts to play. Two minutes later, we had it. now she's been bitten by the bug. but i'm not sure if its an anagram bug or the Rush bug. we shall see. she helped me write this one... our story begins in the chat room where oneone and twotwo are experiencing that awkward "silence." after bragging about their post counts and making fun of each other's names, twotwo asks oneone "so what are you listening to right now." to which oneone replies "COS - No One at the Bridge, TuTu." madra sneachta
It just struck me today the scramble is over a year old, and I've been playing it almost from Day 1, so there's no excuse for me not getting these. At this stage, I suppose it ought to be second nature!

madra sneachta
Sam Endicott, lead singer with one of the big up and coming bands in NY let slip to his brother Tom that the band was on the look out for a new bass player. Indeed, he told him that the old dude from Rush was joining the band. Tom, in a fit of excitement told a friend who told another friend, who posted it on TRF, quoting Tom as the source.
