It was crazy toward the end watching five cars battling for the lead within the last 20 laps... I'll always remember the image of gasman Chocolate Myers in tears following that win, with the team returning to victory lane just three weeks after losing Dale Earnhardt. My favorite race of all time was the closest finish in NASCAR history, with the knock down drag out between Ricky Craven and Kurt Busch. That was two very hungry drivers racing extremely rough, wrecking scrap racecars across the finish line, fueled by nothing more than determination. It's also notable as the last time a Pontiac ever won a NASCAR race. http://furniturerowracing.furniturerow.com/frr/images/news/05-07-13-Epic-Darlington-Finish.jpg.pagespeed.ce.o3h0cR_yf3.jpg

KenJennings
Did anyone see the finish in the Busch Nationwide Xfinity Series today? Unreal stuff. Austin Dillon seemed to intentionally drive his car into the wall coming out of four, so that when Kyle Busch took a swing at him, the wall would be right there to straighten him out. Excellent smart driving... Dillon very much reminds me of Brad Keselowski right now. Driving aggressive, but driving smart. His first Cup win couldn't come soon enough! KenJennings
Ick... that finish couldn't have gone any worse for me. Dillon was running ninth, and quickly dropped to 25th at the last pitstop. Thanks to Fox's excellent coverage, I don't have any idea why. I wish they'd just do away with the green white checkers at this point. Just end the race under caution. Cygnus 2112
I'm 20 pts out of 4th. Not bad for missing Daytona, and then having my next two drivers wreck in the last 20 laps.
KenJennings
Does anyone remember Shane Hmiel? An up and coming star in the early 2000s, with an always controversial style, his NASCAR career ended abruptly after multiple issues with drugs. After recieving a lifetime ban from NASCAR, and spending some time at a serious low point in his life, he went to rehab in 2007 and got himself clean. He went back to USAC sprint car racing, with hopes to eventually reinvent himself as an indycar driver. I remember hearing about his serious crash back in 2010, but I had no idea it was as bad as it was. NASCAR.com just had a nice article about him and his recovery; and it's a story worth reading. It's nice to touch base on some of the guys who we'd otherwise forget about. Sad that a promising career went south the way it did, sadder that it ended so violently right when things seemed to get back on track, but hopeful to see that he's finding purpose in life today. http://www.nascar.com/en_us/news-media/articles/2016/3/28/shane-hmiel-eric-saunders-paralyzed-bond-chili-bowl.html

KenJennings
What happens if I forgot to make a pick one week? You automatically get the highest qualifying drive who you haven't used yet. Since you missed the Daytona 500, I'd be willing to let you add Chase Elliot's points from Daytona, and remove him from your list if you want. Up to you. This topic gave me an idea- what if someone auto-picked like this every week for the full season? So I figured it out and added it to the scoreboard in italic under the name RacerX.
