12-18 inches expected here in northern NJ. It's coming down faster than I can shovel it!

Woke up to 14 inches and it's still coming down heavily. They have upped our snow forecast to 24-30 inches! Unbelieveable. It's pretty though. (Snow is drifted around lamppost but still, it is deeeeeeeep.)

I learned,

Long ago. When it's that bad you need to make sure you take plenty of breaks and drink lots of fluids. Especially if it is heavy wet snow. Just shovel the priority areas if possible. Stay safe!

Yeah, when it's coming down that fast just shovel what you need to. I usually just shovel enough to make sure I can get in and out of the house and that's it. If it's really bad I just wait for the storm to pass. No sense in risking injury to yourself by trying to keep up with a storm that isn't going anywhere.

Yep,

People have died from heart attacks as well. Trying to keep up with the snow. Also, if you have dogs they need a path as well.

I just read a tragic story in the news concerning the storm. Some people are just pure scum!!

What was it?

Here you go.

Sounds like he has a mental problem for sure.

And maybe drugs and who knows what else.

Jumping out with a gun makes me think he's a dealer or something.

Twenty six inches of snow and counting . . . fortunately we have a snow blower and every one on our street tries to help out. :D Not sure we will be helping anyone in a car in a ditch after that last story, though. So awful!

Lunchtime on our deck- and it is covered with an overhang!

Wow.

It looks good enough to eat! Get a large bottle of cherry syrup, and it's snow cones for everyone!

For some reason,

I cannot see the photo. Can you post it again from photobucket?
