Beautiful guitar.

Cost: one arm, one leg. :o

As long as they're on opposite sides you can still balance.

Kind of hard to play the thing, though. Now, if you had four arms . . .

What about the tongue? Some people are quite talented with theirs.

no thanks. double necks just make me feel twice as incompetent.

I think I would have fun with this thing, actually. Does anyone know the price tag?

It's not even up on Gibson's website yet.

Ok. Interestingly enough, I had been Googling double necks. Doesn't seem to be much out there on them, so this might be a good thing, although I am sure the cost will be quite high.

100 Gibson Alex Lifeson EDS-1275 Signature Double-Neck Guitars for sale. ($7299)

If that's the price, then I guess I'll just have to admire the picture.

Might be MSRP, but even so would still make the price way up there. It's a Custom Shop model, so it's not going to be cheap.

Whatever the cost, that is one awesome guitar

I realize that some guitars - the Gibson custom shop ones in particular - can get expensive, but they are some fine guitars, made by hand in the workshops here in the USA ... I've got no issue with that

Remember, these guitars are not throwaway crap like some $800 cell phone - if you buy a Les Paul or a Gibson like that now, you;ve got a great instrument for the rest of your life

If that's the retail, that isn't bad, esp for a double neck

It's not nearly as expensive as that Van Halen guitar that came out a few years ago that was banged up intentionally ( "relic-ed" ) that was going for $25,000

EDIT

I see that Alex is signing the first 25 guitars - those will definitely be more expensive

He did that with the Axcess guitars too, which were more expensive. I would rather have his DNA on there than the signature. Hopefully something good would wear off.
