I see this kind of stuff out in the streets pretty regularly:

Well, that IS their goal. Their idea of scary costumes usually involves Mario and Luigi costumes with a little fake cheesy blood in the corner of their mouths. Have seen that MANY times over.

I've learned that comfortability is most important when it comes to costumes. Being able to breathe, see, and (if you partake) drink. So, Slash.

The burger giant has taken a cue from its Japanese restaurants and will begin selling a variant of the Kuro Burger, which it released in Japan last September, called the Halloween Whopper.

The burger will have a pitch-black bun, just like its predecessor, but will be infused with an eerily familiar American flavor: A.1. sauce.

The sauce will be baked into the bun and will be used as a condiment on the burger alongside mayonnaise and the rest of the traditional Whopper fixings.

While the Kuro Burger sported black-colored cheese, the Halloween Whopper will use yellow American.

Ah. Actually though, it's not that new to Japan as it was sold in years past. Somehow it came back despite not really selling well the first time around.

 

Everyone I know (Japanese or ex-pat) seems to respond in one of these ways when it comes to the Kuro Burger: "That looks gross" , "No thanks", "Nasty", "Why", "Hell no", "That doesn't look good", "I'd rather have a [insert another burger name]"

I love Halloween!

 

Every year in the Saturday before Halloween we have a bunch of people over to watch "Psycho".

 

A tradition that started 20 years ago when we discovered our neighbour had never seen the movie.

 

It grew from four people that first year to a pretty good size open house.
