tomhealey
Dunno Eagle. I scoped most of the Montreal show front/center, and no one said a word.

I wouldn't really label myself "mature" yet...and besides I was kidding anyway with that first comment. Also, the show was awesome, totally worth seeing. Totally see them again if they even tour again.

PolarizeMe
Well us New Yorkers are loudmouths ya know? I for one was going ape shit throughout the night.
PolarizeMe
No Camera Eye (was quite puzzled by that as well) but hey at least I got to see Ged play the Ricky 4001 bass.

The band has got to know about the Periscope feeds. I wonder if maybe they've told security to keep an eye out about it? I doubt it, mainly for the fact that the whole tour is pretty much sold out. If sales had been slow, I could maybe see them caring about it. But they probably also realize that watching a so-so (or worse) quality feed from across the arena on a tablet is still nothing like being at the show. PolarizeMe
Don't feel sorry for the family behind me who left before the encore. They probably thought 2112 was the final final song of the night.

PolarizeMe
My section f***ing SUCKED when it came to people sitting down.Same here man. I stood up at the end of some songs though. Other than that I rebelled by violently headbanging to almost every song. Cept Losing It but I did let loose when it came to the heavier parts of the song. LedRush
Dunno Eagle. I scoped most of the Montreal show front/center, and no one said a word. No one said anything when I was row 14 and on the aisle in Boston, but they were cracking down in front of Geddy at MSG...though anyone in the front row could use their phones/cameras as much as they wanted. It may have been for the other audience members, not the band.

LedRush
And I was up on the big screen twice in The Spirit of Radio. Man this was an awesome show. I don't know if anything will ever beat Tulsa and the surprise and excitement of that crowd...but this comes damn close.
fraroc
Another thing, I was pleasantly surprised that the concert was loud, but not deafening. When I saw Ozzy in 2010, my ears hissed for days

When I saw Ozzy in 2010, my ears hissed for daysYeah I noticed that too. I wear earplugs as a precaution after an incident where I had ringing in the ears for days but when I saw Rush the last time on the CA Tour, it was quite loud even with earplugs on to my ears. But I think I might have to do with where I was sitting as well.

The band has got to know about the Periscope feeds. I wonder if maybe they've told security to keep an eye out about it? My take...for all the talk of NY being a liberal place, it's actually very strict place and heavy security, especially since 9/11. It's become the mindset here...rules rules rules. See something, say something, by necessity. But makes no sense with regarding stoping the scope, what fan is going to skip the show or not buy the blu Ray for a mediocre cell phone vid? Saw a poor chap get escorted out during headlong flight at MSG for partaking in the reefer madness. Newark, was like Jamaica man, passage to Bankok. Someone filming, better go tell them to stop, no rules breaking...Tonite entering msg was like going thru an airport. At Philly on Thursday , no one touched me upon entering, probably for the first time in 14 years to a major venue.

Isn't that the definition of liberal? NYC is basically a police state of government control. Shit, I saw 2 groups of 2 army personnel (or at least people in camouflage) for security MSG.
