bluefox4000
Had you said Relayer vs hemispheres. i'd have a different answer. or the yes Album Vs Hemispheres. But i just enjoy hemispheres a tad more then CTTE. MickI think Relayer is good but I wouldn't put it with the top 5 Yes albums in my view. Tales From Turd Infested Oceans is not even worth discussing. Yes did put out some real stinkers in my opinion but the great ones are really great... :) Relayer is my number 2 yes Album. Tales is a pile of poo. and i pretend it was never made, lol, Mick How do you feel about Tormato? Tormato's........ok. Better then tales for sure. but to me Going for the One was the end of Classic Yes. Mick

I'd be hard-pressed to name my favourite Yes album (just too difficult for me to decide)...but you are not alone in loving Topographic Oceans. I think it's fantastic as well.

Some great straight up songs and some cool quirky ones... No I didnt ask you. Piss off! Haha. Kiddi g. It's kind of like Genesis ATTWT. An uneven effort but more rewarding if you acually listen to it. I think this was a pretty heady time for Prog acts and a lot of them either carried on or sank under the weight of the punk/art movement.

Tombstone Mountain
I personally love discussing Rush and Yes my two favorite bands all time. There is alot to compare and contrast and they both went through major stylistic changes especially from the 70' to 80's...Interesting that for all The great work Yes has made in terms of prog music, 90215 is my absolute favorite. No surprise for two reasons: 1) You think CA is the be all and end all (teasing broski). 2) 90215 is actually pretty awesome!

I like it but it but it would be akin to saying Grace Under Pressure is my favorite Rush album. Enjoy it but not even close to the reverence I hold to the 70's classics...

EagleMoon
I find Yes to be terribly overrated. Not a popular opinion here, I know. Actually, an unpopular opinion would have been for you to say that you find Rush overrated. Rush are on the cover of Rolling Stone, of course they are overrated! ;) Yes, and I looked this morning for the latest RS. Not out. If anyone wants me to pick up a copy of it for them, let me know. I don't think they'll be selling like hotcakes in my neck of the woods. Not released until this Friday.
