There are several Posssible Anniversary Tours possible within the next five years.

2014: Rush 40th Anniversary. GUP 30th Anniversary, Presto 25th Anniversary, FB 10th Anniversary

2015: FBN 40th Anniversary, COS 40th Anniversary, PeW 35th Anniversary, PW 30th Anniversary

2016: 2112 40th Anniversary, MP 35th Anniversary, RTB 25th Anniversary, T4E 20th Anniversary

2017: AFTK 20th Anniversary, Signals 35th, HYF 30th, VT 15th, S&A 10th. CA 5th Anniversary

2018: Hemispheres 40th Anniversary, Counterparts 25th Anniversary

Which one would you prefer to see and why?

I like to see a tour during 2015, in order to maybe get Permanent Waves in its Entirety. Additionally it would be cool to hear some songs from FBN & COS (Anthem, FBN, BY-tor and Bastile Day, the Necromancer) as well.

Absolutely. We basically just had the PoW tour, so if they focus on the 3 earlier albums, playing all of PeW and some gems from FBN and CoS, this would be amazing. It'll never happen, but I'd love it.

2016 would be my next favorite, as I'd love to see 2112 in it's entirety, even though Geddy just said it's not going to happen. I don't need to see MP again, but I would like to see some rarities off of RTB and particularly TFE.

2017 is intriguing, but too much S&A or HYF, especially after we've gotten so much recently, could ruin it; And although I love CA to death, we just heard virtually the entire album.

For 2018 I would be happy to sit through some selections from CP if it just got me Hemispheres played in its entirety.

2014 would be my last choice, but even here an amazing concert could be put together by picking gems and rarities from each of those albums.

Yeah, so I want them all.

I'd totally go for a 2104 tour where we celebrate the centennial anniversary of Feedback, the super centennial anniversary of Counterparts and the super super centennial (120) anniversary of Grace Under Pressure. The guys will now be 3D holograms programmed to look like how they were back in the 70s. Even though I'll be 110 in 2104, I wouldn't want to miss that!

Seriously though, I'd go for the 2015 tour set but I'd swap out The Big Money and replace it with Manhattan Project and add in Animate right before Cut To The Chase.

You should provide a possible setlist for each of them to make our decision easier.

Why do you encourage him so!

Are you satisfied? :codger:

Those are awesome setlists, especially 2014 and 2015.

I think I'd pick 2015. Can't pass up a By-Tor/Necro medley, Emotion Detector, Vapor Trail, and all of Permanent Waves.

Agreed. But the heck is Cut to the Chase on there!?!

Isn't is selfish of us to expect our favorite musicians to continue to tour into their 60's??

I'm sorry if you just discovered RUSH in 2004, but they've already come around the clubhouse curve and are way into the final stretch.

If

If

If

they ever tour again, there is the possibility of crossing over into Rolling Stones or Scorpions self-parody land.

I don't want to see that happen.

I don't think this will ever happen with RUSH. They are too good of musicians to allow this. The Rolling Stones stopped writing good music in the 80's. Then they had maybe one good song per album. I don't know why you mentioned the Scorpions. They had a good run they just ran out of ideas. I don't think RUSH will because when they do they change. Clockwork Angels is a good example of another change by adding strings. They are on a good wave now. They are smart enough to know when to get off before it crashes. :D-13: :D-13: :D-13: The only thing that will stop RUSH is their physical ability to play or an unforeseen tragic event to one of the members. Hopefully that will never happen.

2015 tour all the way. The more Power Windows love the better (though I have been quite spoiled with this past tour)

2017 would be pretty good too!
