LedRush
So, i noticed that the FLAC files of the concerts are coming out. What is the easiest way I can use these in iTunes for the Mac? I'd prefer the Apple Lossless format, but would accept anything that is free and very, very easy (as I am pretty computer illiterate when it comes to these types of things). Thanks in advance. LedRush
There are a bunch of new FLAC files of the concert, but I just don't know how to listen to them on iTunes
Tommy Sawyer
Use Switch Converter: http://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.html Just make sure you get the free version. Alternatively, listen directly to the FLACs with VLC media player: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
Mr. JD
If you want to listen on your iPhone or iPad, there are a few apps in the AppStore that play FLAC.
Jaminbenb
I usually just convert shows I've burnt after I've burned them to disc....not too many boots on my iPod so far, but a few significant ones.... (a little Floyd, and Rush)
drbirdsong
The Switch program that is linked above works great and will convert flacs to any number of formats. Just make sure you listen at least a little to each track to make sure it worked before you get rid of the original flac files. For some reason Switch will sometimes give you a completely silent file, especially when converting to mp3. It's not often enough to not use the program, but it is just rare enough to be a big pain. LedRush
Thanks for the answers. A quick search before posting this got me to sites that gave instructions using Fluke for Mac and Bigasoft. Has anyone used these or heard about them? grand phil-nale
Use xACT, it's free and you can convert to WAV for playback in itunes. http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/14246/xact You can also download Vox which is a decent little player for playing flac files. http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/24852/vox
