I just came back from a long trek across the east coast. I have driven from South Florida to New York and I can tell you that CA was with me all the way. It didn't get boring at all. Actually it kept getting better. I noticed you have to watch your speed while listening to Headlong Flight. I remembered Hlo Effect when I noticed a girl with a tattoo of wings on her heals even though she was far from a goddess. Another cool thing was when I listened to Seven Cities of Gold as I went through the Lincoln Tunnel into New York. The Garden in Central Park was pretty spiritual as well. I also remembered the Wreckers as I took a short cruise on a catamaran in Myrtle Beach and watching the breakers roar on the jitney as we went by. Regardless, this album has more to offer than most RUSh albums!

It does keep getting better with each listen, doesn't it? And it's good for just putting on and not worrying about skipping any tracks - it's all good! I've been using it a lot when I do gardening, but I've been pacing myself with at least a day's gap between listens; haven't tried listening to it back-to-back in the length of time it would take to drive the east coast! ohmy.gif

I did take it off was to listen to the Trees when I was driving through the Colonial Parkway in Williamsburg, VA. I'll put a copy of that on Youtube soon!

I wish it was still growing on me. I have the rule of 3 with albums. I am way beyond 3 and it has not registered in my "cannot stop listening" list.

You can add CA to that list as well!

I popped the cd back in my car earlier today after not listening to it (all the way through at least) for a few weeks, and I sped all the way home! I couldn't help it. And the songs definitely still sound great this time around Edited by SchemingDemon

I agree! I recently got back from a 1000 mile roundtrip, and I rocked out to CA once each way. Loved it! Just turned the bass and sub down, and went to town. It's a great great road record. biggrin.gif 1022.gif trink38.gif

And I'll add, on the way down a toll-taker noticed my RASH shirt, and commented how he was seeing them on the upcoming tour. Me too I said! Then, on the way back, on a McDouble safety break, a little girl behind the counter said she liked my Time Machine tour shirt. biggrin.gif trink38.gif 2.gif

Yeah, It's always cool to be recognized as a RUSH fan, I met a RUSH fan behind the counter at the Smithsonian Institute Store in Washington DC who upon noticing I was a RUSH fan and conversing a while about CA and viewing Pics from The Time Machine Tour gave me 10% off the mechandise. It was pretty cool to have RUSH perks!
