alphseeker
All i care about is that the Habs unload Scott Gomez - Yeah he's a $3million pain in the side but more than that he's a bane to this team -

Seems like a bright kid. He has some moves Ovechkin never thought of. After the goals, I mean. Available at 18th, eh? 17 GMs would need to lose their jobs Too bad the Leafs are picking 5th, there's only 4 players I really, really want them to get: Yakupov, Mikhail Grigorenko, Alex Galchenyuk, and Filip Forsberg. If one of them is still on the table at #5 and Burke picks a defenceman instead...ugh. I'm sure Ryan Murray is great and all, but the track record for highly drafted D-men is so spotty *cough*Schenn*cough*. Hopefully someone in the top 4 wants to take the risk... Draco
Well Darcy spend Ted's money and make another splash in FA, only to have a torrid run for the playoffs be cut short with 2 games left in the year? This is Buffalo we're talking about, after all. http://www.rushmessageboard.com/cpmb/public/style_emoticons/default/Gedwitch.jpg
invisibleairwaves
If anyone feels like really geeking out on advanced stats, here's a PDF file with usage charts for all 30 teams, along with an explanation of how the charts work. Great way to put players' ability or inability to drive possession in context with how their coaches used them.

PhilCastro
QUOTE @JohnBorukCSN: Two NHL insiders had told me last year a Bobby Ryan/Jonas Hiller deal for Ryan Miller was all but done and then the Lucic incident happened.
blackhawkrush
Hawks re-sign Ben Smith and Brandon Bollig. Also, Carter Hutton won the battle of the prospect goalies when Alexander Salak was released. He'd better be good.

Wow, that trade would make absolutely no sense whatsoever. Erik Karlsson re-signs for 7 years at $6.5M per. Looks like a good deal unless he goes full Phaneuf/Green. Who knows if he can actually repeat this season's production... Edited June 19, 2012 by invisibleairwaves

Rick N. Backer
QUOTE (invisibleairwaves @ Jun 20 2012, 08:42 PM)-Patrice Bergeron wins the Selke. Can't really argue with that. Bergeron had a great year, and he has been charged with getting the most out of Marchand and Seguin, which he has done. He's a class act to boot. Good for him. I thought maybe Quick had an outside chance at the Vezina, but Lundqvist was so good against a pretty tough East all year.
