I'm going to the show tomorrow. 1022.gif
I tried to convince my parents into letting me go on Wednesday as well but it didn't work. I'm just glad that I'll be able to see them once. Should be a great show!

Pre-show trink38.gif How bout it ?

I would love to but I'm leaving for New York right when I get out of school so I may be cutting it close. I'm planning on getting to the venue an hour early so maybe we'll see each other in line. I'm going to wear the 2011 Rush clockface shirt so if you see me say hi.

I'll go if Hogarth quits the band.

Go away. atickhum.gif

Probably don't even know much of the music they have made in the last 25 years. Enjoy your bubble.

Just got back from the show. Been a long day, had finals today and went right to NYC. Show was great. They played Ocean Cloud!!!!!! 1022.gif I really was hoping they'd play it but I didn't think they really would.

I'll write a review or something tomorrow when I'm not tired.

I said it before.

I've tried to listen to it, and the music can be great but once Hogarth opens his mouth it kills it for me....Just like The Smiths and The Cure, it's just that kind of voice. Don't blame me 'cuz those guys sing like crap.

Great first night in NYC. The music and the TRF company was outstanding. I will spend the day clearing the cobwebs from my head and get ready for another night of Marillion, lead by the great Steve Hogarth! 1022.gif

OCEAN CLOUD! 1022.gif

Last night's show was simply amazing! I thought the show was going to start at 7, like the website said, so I got there at 6. Turns out I was 2 hours early but I was near the front of the line and I was able to get extremely close to the stage. There were only a few people ahead of me. The opener Sun Domingo was pretty good. I felt bad for them because an amp or something broke so they had to spend a while fixing it but they recovered well. Marillion was just awesome. They played the 3 songs that I wanted to hear, Ocean Cloud, Man of a Thousand Faces, and Easter. I knew that they'd play Easter but I was sure that they wouldn't play Ocean Cloud but they did! I love the studio version of the song and its one of my favorites but it was so much more powerful live. I still can't believe they played it. My only complaint was Sugar Mice. I love the song but I'd rather hear them play a Hogarth song instead. I think Hogarth was still sick but his voice sounded great. The whole band was just incredible live and it was obvious that they were having a great time. I didn't get home until after 3am but it was well worth it.

Great meetup with you guys last night, and a great show! Hogarth's voice was in fine form, Rothery's guitar soared, and the whole band was ON.

It was an amazing show! I NEVER thought I would have the chance to see them live. It was surreal, and I was very close to tears a couple of times. Getting to hang out with you guys for it made it twice as special. We had soooooo much fun! I haven't laughed that much in a long time. biggrin.gif

btw, tick... I'm back at work today, too. Sucks! angry.gif
