Rick N. Backer
An odd place to find an article on progressive rock, but it does talk alot about Rush, and favorably. Principled Man
Excellent article, but it makes me sad when people try to associate musical expression and creativity with political ideologies. Prog rock, like all music, transcends petty politics.

tjtull
QUOTE (Workaholic Man @ May 9 2012, 06:05 PM) Excellent article, but it makes me sad when people try to associate musical expression and creativity with political ideologies. Prog rock, like all music, transcends petty politics. I agree completely. In fact, I was really digging the article until he got to the part about how conservatives (such as himself), "cherish real diversity, the ability of the individual person to be what God created her or him to be, to express himself in excellence, and to rise to the highest things." That very well may be (probably not), however he needs a good dose of "get over yourself"! He totally lost credibility by inserting his politics.
