More RAM is always a good idea. RAM is pretty cheap these days and if you tend to multitask photo/video/audio programs, you'll want a lot of it.

 

It doesn't really matter how much hard drive space your computer comes with, because when working with multimedia it's generally a good idea to use external drives.

This thread was going very, very well for a time, and then launchpad jumped in with an opinion I strongly disagreed with. Did I overreact? Clearly. THAT'S NOT THE QUESTION AT HAND. After I made that comment, the thread continued on, CT got his answers, and everyone seemed satisfied to see it END. Only now, three months later, this is an issue? H&K calls me a douche out of the blue in a thread that ended peacefully and all of a sudden I'm the bad guy? Yeah, I called him an asshole in response. He acted like it, I called him on it. If launchpad had called me out on that comment I made back in February, I could have respected that. Maybe I was having a bad day. Maybe I would have apologized for being overly snarky - or maybe not, who knows. Hearing about it now from people that weren't involved in the conversation? I couldn't care less what your opinion is, I'm sorry.

You should be able to find a pc on sale at some computer store like Best Buy or some place like that that will suit your needs for about $250 less than that. I see good systems on sale for less than $500 quite often and I live in Canada.
