madra sneachta Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 The fire is lighting, the jumpers (sweaters) are on, and worst of all, body heat isn't enough for my beloved anymore. The Winnie the Pooh nightie is back

D-13 Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Winter is my fav season....why.........because of snow......and with snow you get good times.......and with that you get snowboarding....and plus I can drink the snowboarders favourite drink.....hot chocolate! 49 DAYS TILL THE HILL OPENS.....and 11 more days till dryland training! trampalines are fun to bounce on!
Moonraker Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 I liked Fall a lot more when I was living in Maryland. You could actually get to see all the leaves change and fall off, it felt like it was autumn. Now in CA, there are only 1 1/2 seasons a year. Summer, and not-so-summer. I agree with D-13 though, winter is definatly the best because of snow. I never learned how to snowboard or ski though, I just liked sledding down hills that we made our own ramps on.

Alsgalpal Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 *sigh* Bout 1 week into winter time, I start looking for spring, the next three seasons are great then. Mostly all we get here is rain, rain, and more rain...
GhostGirl Posted September 24, 2004 Posted September 24, 2004 I love autumn...reminds me of my yearly trips with my family to the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee...Sure, they're not the Rockies, but we're partial to the Smokies here in the Southland. http://www.edwardcartergalleries.com/artists/cburkett/cb00020.jpg http://www.npca.org/media_center/graphics/ten_most_endangered/smokies.jpg http://www.astrosurf.com/lombry/Documents/smoky-mountains.jpg

I love the one with the fog rolling hovering in the valley. It makes me want to run around in the woods and get lost
