A 21 point lead, and they loose...

6-10 is an improvement over 4-12, but thank goodness this season is over.

On to hockey season... wacko.gif

Their game today was like their season , great start and then nothing.

Will Stevie Johnson be back?

Good receiver, but he killed the team with stupid, selfish plays twice this season, though my (incorrect) first take on the first one was that it was funny. After further review, giving up 15 yds that way is the height of selfishness.

I'm only bumping this tread, to say that I have a lot more respect for Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick plays 2nd half of the season with 4 cracked ribs.

Oh man.. I thought you were gonna mention something about Chan Gailey's new Fitz beard laugh.gif

Saw that. At least Fitzpatrick and Gailey will be on the same page of something! wink.gif

Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer arrested for battery

Last year, former Bears offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer got in trouble for figuratively stabbing quarterback Jay Cutler in the back. Now, Kromer has gotten into trouble for literally punching someone. Allegedly.

Via Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, acting on a Twitter tip that included a link to the mugshot and charge from a publication in Florida, reports that Kromer was arrested early Sunday for battery with intent to cause bodily harm.

Rapoport also tweeted the image of the booking information from the Walton County Jail, continuing the new trend of publishing raw materials to confirm accuracy and/or to show off.

The immediate problem for the Bills, with training camp looming, is that Kromer could be headed for the Commissioner-Exempt list. The new Personal Conduct Policy contemplates the use of paid leave when an NFL employee is charged with a crime of violence. The league broadly defines the term to include persons accused “of having used physical force or a weapon to injure or threaten another person, of having engaged in a sexual assault by force or a sexual assault of a person who was incapable of giving consent, of having engaged in other conduct that poses a genuine danger to the safety or well-being of another person, or of having engaged in animal abuse.”

So the Bills may may be paying Kromer not to work until his charges are resolved and any punishment from the league has been determined. Thereafter, Kromer could be placed on unpaid leave by the league. Thereafter, the Bills could place Kromer on permanent unpaid leave.

Coincidentally, it was Rapoport to whom Kromer complained about Cutler last December, resulting in an apology from Kromer to the players.

Police: Aaron Kromer threatened to kill family of alleged victim

Posted by Josh Alper on July 12, 2015, 12:02 PM EDT

http://larrybrownsports.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/aaron-kromer-mug-shot.jpg

We learned that Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer was arrested early Sunday morning in Walton County, Florida on a misdemeanor battery charge and the sheriff’s office has released some of the information that led to the arrest.

In a post to Facebook, Walton County Sherrif Michael A. Adkinson Jr. writes that deputies responded to a call on Saturday night and spoke to the caller who said that an altercation started while three boys were fishing on a beach. Kromer and his son are accused of confronting them about the use of beach chairs that escalated when Kromer grabbed one of the fishing poles and threw it in the water.

Kromer then allegedly “pushed one of the boys to the ground and punched him in the face” before telling him to return the chairs to where they found them. One of the alleged victims also told police that Kromer said that “if he reported him to the police he would kill his family.” No ages are given for the three boys, but Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that the Walton County Sherrif’s Office said the boy Kromer allegedly punched in the face is a minor.

Adkinson adds that the investigation into the incident will continue and that additional charges could be filed in the coming days.

NFL, Bills have to be aggressive in disciplining Aaron Kromer

Posted by Mike Florio on July 12, 2015, 12:37 PM EDT

http://images.newsflow24.com/495/495637/bills-coach-punched-threatened-to-kill-minors-family-over-beach-chairs_1.jpg

At a time when the NFL has become more aggressive than ever in disciplining players for off-field conduct, all players (and plenty of others) will be watching what the NFL does with Bills offensive line coach Aaron Kromer, who is accused of punching a minor in the face during a beach-chair dispute and then threatening to kill the boy’s family if he told police about it.

The allegations are more than enough to justify an immediate investigation by the NFL. If Kromer eventually faces formal charges, he needs to be placed on paid leave by the league — and possibly fired for cause by the Bills, which would cut off his right to ongoing payments. Even without formal charges, the NFL has shown through, for example, the Greg Hardy case a willingness to disregard the ultimate outcome of the criminal justice system and to dispense its own brand of more-likely-than-not punishment.

And when it comes time to discipline Kromer, the NFL can be as aggressive as it wants to be, without fear of the NFLPA or any other union fighting the final outcome. Since coaches don’t have a union, coaches have no real rights, with the Commissioner serving as the ultimate arbitrator.

Meanwhile, the Bills must move quickly to find someone to replace Kromer, either temporarily or permanently. Kurt Anderson works as the assistant offensive line coach, but it’s unknown whether the Bills deem one of the holdovers from the Doug Marrone regime ready for the next step. Absent immediate and complete exoneration, the Bills will need another offensive line coach very soon. As in by July 30 at the latest, the day the players report for training camp.

With final plans for the launch of camp undoubtedly ongoing, the Bills will need a new offensive line coach a lot sooner than that.
