maxrush69
QUOTE (CygnusX-1Bk2 @ Aug 24 2004, 06:11 PM) Anthem because it is the first song that they collaborated on with Neil (at his audition) and because of the lyrical content. It was the first of many about individualism. This song meant a lot to me when I first heard it and still does today. "Live for yourself There's no one else more worth living for..." "I know they've always told you selfishness was wrong But it was for me, not you, that I came to write this song..." It's no wonder all of my ex-girlfriends call me self-absorbed. Asian Rush Fan
Rivendell is great! When I saw Lord of the Rings, I realized what was going on because of Rush. No, Rivendell is not about rocking and rolling but a story told by music. I love the song and am glad Rush put it in
wulfhrafnr
QUOTE (1974FAN @ Mar 14 2006, 06:55 AM) Personally, I think Rivendell was the only bad song "Our Boys" ever wrote. We all have diferrent opinions. Some songs not as good as others. This is mine & I'm sticking with it. Rivendell is one of my favorite songs, so I'll have to disagree with you here. barchetta90480
Have to go for Anthem, though Making Memories and In The End are generally unterrated. And, yes, there are bad Rush songs, I think. Rivendell is not the worst. There's still "In The Mood". And "Bravado" Leaves us with more than a hundred great ones. barchetta90480
QUOTE (Asian Rush Fan @ Apr 3 2006, 06:29 PM) Sorry - I know that a lot of people like "Bravado", but I hated it from the moment I heard it (though I like Alex' solo on RiRio). Hey! I love "Superconductor". And "Anagram". I even like "Best I Can", in a way.

1974FAN
I have to go with 2 on this one: 1) Fly By Night, because it was written where I lived at the time...Lansing, Michigan. 2) In The End, because it was the beginning signs of their diversity in writing. Mark Stewart
This is a very hard album to pick a fav, but if my arm was bent it would have to be "Fly by Night" which has a killer guitar riff
