Neil just goes ape shit in bytor and the snowdog. 1022.gif

I'm always impressed by the speed and raw energy he used to possess back in the day.

Went with LVS as that whole song is crazy, insane playing! Not just that one particular drum fill, but everything--from the sixteenth note hi-hat pattern in the beginning to the slow syncopated parts during Alex's solo.

But By-tor's drum breaks were cool too!

LVS without a doubt, especially after the main 'Strangiato' theme. Just perfect when Alex goes into that soft guitar solo before he starts shredding like a chainsaw.

That brings such an image to my mind....

Yeah, after a lot of thought I had to go with La Villa. Because it's just so brilliant. And because, as Alex has told us about the jazz part: "This is hard!"

I guess I do not understand what a Neil Peart "lick" is. On guitar a lick is a very short phrase not an entire song. Is the thread for the best drumming in a song or for a specific part?
