Rushman14
I recently stumbled upon this Progressive/Space Rock record from 1972 researching drummer Bobby Caldwell. Not sure how I missed this but it's really good! Anyone else familiar with Captain Beyond? Check it out here Dancing Madly Backwards Lee Dorman (bass, vocals) [iron Butterfly] Larry "Rhino" Reinhardt (guitar) [iron Butterfly] Rod Evans (vocals) [Deep Purple] Bobby Caldwell (drums) [Johnny Winter, Armageddon] http://pixhost.info/avaxhome/55/64/000e6455_medium.jpeg

Rushman14
QUOTE (Storm Shadow @ Jan 7 2011, 01:26 PM) I love that album. Always meant to check out their others, but never did. I checked out the 2nd album. There's a couple of good tracks but definitely not as good as the first record.
Silas Lang
This has been one of my favorites for a long time. Even after all these years it never ceases to amaze me. The second isn't quite as mindblowing but I still like it a lot.
ozzy85
I'm trying to track down a copy. a buddy of mine loves them. don't know much about them except by word of mouth. Hell, it had Lee dorman from Iron Butterfly, can't be that bad.

Hell, it had Lee dorman from Iron Butterfly, can't be that bad. and Bobby Caldwell on drums who later played with the band Armageddon, which was another fantastic album. http://www.oocities.com/blackfootsu/images/armaged.jpg
rushgoober
After seeing the album cover forever and hearing good things about it, one time I scanned through it a record store listening to snippets of songs. I don't know, it sounded somewhat like kind of pedestrian bluesy rock to me, nothing special. Of course it deserves a proper full listen one of these days...
