Keith Emerson Ebay Scam

There is a person claiming that they are selling a Moog Modular synth owned by Keith Emerson.

Bidding is up to $15,000, and Keith Emerson posted on his Facebook page that it is a fraud.

This is one reason why I will never bid on anything that is claimed to be valuable on eBay.

Yeah its a real shame that people feel the need to take advantage of people like that.

Could happen in any venue. I'm not an Ebay fan, but there are scams in every selling website. Buyer beware!

That seller has a feedback rating of 2270, which is a lot of transactions, but with a percentage of 97.4%, with 5 negative and 3 neutral feedbacks in the past 6 months. 97.4% isn't horrible, but it does show that a sour transaction is possible -- that's not a guy I'd give $15,000+ to.

Ebay won't release the funds until this auction has been resolved. Meaning, the buyer gets the item and verifies with Ebay that said item is authentic and in the condition stated.

 

 

Damn - I would love to have that Moog though. I would install it into my wall like this:
