  2. Yeah, Index was honestly the worst song of the set. It was worse when I saw the new version the second time, and even though worse after I saw it via the stream. He's been doing the Leo/Tony Blair bit every show. I remember the first NYC show he said "Leo Blair, wonderful voice. Tony Blair as Prime Minister....*gives an 'eh' expression*" In retrospect, I would've probably enjoyed the show much more had I sat further back than I did. I felt I could've had a more immersive experience with the video backdrop and all had I sat in the lower balcony or further back. When I saw the Madison show he told us right away that "if you saw us in Chicago already, I will warn you that its the same shit every night. Same songs, same jokes." I really enjoyed the show a lot. Way more than I was expecting since the show I saw on the Grace for Drowning tour didn't do much for me. I don't understand the outright hate about this tour; I was very moved by the show I saw. Easily one of the best concerts I've been to in a couple years. I think you either feel the vibe of this new record or you don't. I very much do. The video that accompanied Routine was absolutely heartwrenching, as was the one for Raven That Refused to Sing. The only things I didn't like were The Watchmaker (I just do not connect with that song at all) and the way they started Index. That was a little weird.
  3. Positive: It was a fantastic show, my favorite setlist of the four Rush shows I've seen in my life. The fact that I got to hear Jacob's Ladder, Natural Science, Hemispheres, Xanadu, and Cygnus X-1 all in one show was incredible. Negative: I'm from the Milwaukee area and I hate going to Chicago for shows. I hate driving there, especially. Rush is one of the few acts that is worth it for me. There was absolutely nobody directing people or cars in the (official United Center) parking lot on the way out. You had to be a jerk and force your way in if you wanted to get anywhere. I tried my best to let some folks in front of me. People were walking right in front of moving cars, it was a bad situation.
  4. QUOTE (Mr. Krinkle @ Mar 16 2011, 11:59 PM) Something tells me that the new Yes album is the last thing on Japan's mind right now.
  5. Devin Townsend just finished mixing "Deconstruction," which is going to be released along with "Ghost" most likely in June. From what I understand, they are both double albums.
  6. QUOTE (HigherWater @ Jan 9 2011, 12:55 PM) It's not like I don't get my money's worth. Jesus, people. We're still getting nearly three hours of live music for our money--We got Moving Pictures in its entirety! I think, "thank you" is more appropriate than all the bitching.
  7. The Camera Eye live? Yeah, don't think I can pass that up.
  8. I think I've seen the Anesthetize DVD about 10 times through now. It just does not get old!
  9. Whoops. About to make a comment already made. Sorry.
  10. I say replace Stick It Out and Faithless. They seemed to mess up the flow of the show during the first set.
  11. If they don't announce a Milwaukee Date for the early summer, I may have to see them in Chicago.
  12. "primarily with Rush performing in markets not played on the previous tour run this summer." Looks like no more Rush for me until 2012. Oh well, I'm glad the European fans are getting their share!
  13. QUOTE (JohnnyBlaze @ Nov 15 2010, 08:49 PM) Exactly. I don't see why this idea is so hard to understand or accept. Agreed. Let them do what they want. People should really stop being so needy...except the European fans, you guys deserve some some shows. I'm glad you will be getting to see them in action!
  14. QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Nov 14 2010, 11:33 PM) times are tough... it's pretty shitty to try and sell something like that, but then again if someone's dumb enough to buy it I guess it's their own fault lol For over 80 dollars, too.
  15. It's amazing the lengths some will go to make a boot look legitimate just to make a few bucks.
