If anyone gets a chance, check out the Band K^2 (KSquare, there is no square symbol).... Ryo Okumoto is on both albums that have been put out... The First is called "Book of the Dead"

Unfortunatly the singer on the first album passed away after the album was recorded and they just reformed the group with a new singer... I still need to hear that one.

I really didn't care for the Self Titled album.......... The first song, and the epic were good... but other than that most of the album was just.......meh, kind of the same with "Octane" that was another "meh" album...

The first Nick D album "Feel euphoria" was good, but X is the best of the Nick D'Virgillio era......

Do yourself a favor and go back and get the Neal Morse stuff next, either "V", "Day for Night", or "The Light"

Towards the end it got a little boring. It could have been a little shorter, but overall I like it.

"At the End of the Day," from V, changed my life.

LOVE THEM! 1022.gif atickhum.gif

Saw them in a club in Connecticut in 07. It was a huge club and they only drew a couple hundred people, if that. It was sad they didn't have an appropriate turnout. They were great. I was actually leaning on the stage the whole night with elbow room to spare.

Just picked up "V" and "Snow" both are very good. What should I get next?

Gonna rank the albums in order I would get, but I will include whether or not it is a Nick D'Virgillio era or the Neal Morse Era

1. "V" (NM) - 5th Album

2. "The Light" (NM) - 1st Album

3. " Day for Night" (NM)- 4th Album

4. "Kindness of Strangers" (NM) - 3rd Album

5. "X" (NDV) - 10th album

6/7. Tie "Snow" (NM) and "Feel Euphoria" (NDV) 6th/7th albums

8. "Beware of Darkness" (NM)- 2nd Album

9. "Octane" (NDV) - 8th album

10. Self-Titled album (NDV) -9th album

I would also recommend the the live albums "Spock's Beard Live" or "Gluttons for Punishment"

I can agree with this ranking for the most part, although I'd give an edge to "Kindness ofo Strangers" over "Day For Night" - switch those two in the rankings of #3 and #4.

"Snow" really didn't impress me at all. It's overblown, it's two discs when one would've sufficed, it's a bit boring, and it strikes me as unoriginal - just an amalgamation of The Who's "Tommy" and the movie "Powder."

Up to and including "V" I think are all equally great.

I really think those discs are as good as any prog ever made. Wish I had gotten into them earlier but at least I got to see the "V" tour.

Snow had its moments and when Neal left its a different band IMO.

I've had "Feel Euphoria" for a while now, but I've only listened to it once since I bought it... but I re-listened to it today, and you know what? This is a very good album.... and kind of overignored amongst SB fans. Give it another try.

I still need to get Feel Euphoria along with Octane and The Kindness of Strangers. Most people seem to consider the first 2 NDV albums to be the worse so I've been holding off on getting them.

I can't wait for the new album! I'm sure it will be great with Ted Leonard.
