rickyrob
Would Malcolm Glazer's millions be good for Man Utd? I don't think so personally. A link to some info
Brutal Truth
As a Tottenham supporter, we've had our fair share of dodgy chairmen (Irving Scholar et al), but I've never seen anyone as shark-like as Glazer. Manchester United should resist any further approaches from this pinhead and shut the door in his face. I hope they do just that...

anagramking
I'd be leery of the Glazers. I used to trade options on a stock called Zapata (which used to be an offshore oil company (founded by GHW Bush, believe it or not), that has gone through several reinventions since. The Glazers were in charge while I traded it. (Bush sold his interest years and years ago.) They decided to try to take advantage of the internet craze in the late 90's and the stock rocketed from about $10 to $26 in the span of two days when their entry into the market was announced. Little came of it, and the stock became worthless, and it's done a reverse split or two since. I will say that was a fun stock to trade in the year that I traded it, though. Mandalorian Hunter
No worries, we'll still have 5 years of being ahead of you I'm starting to warm to the idea of him owning us - very slightly. He may not destroy Utd, although he is saddling lots of debt on us, or Tampa Bay. Maybe he's got bored of them.

Brutal Truth
What a carve-up. Glazer should be shot. It's not about being a Man City supporter, a Spurs supporter etc...It's aboutloving football and not letting someone who doesn't give a toss about the game and slapping a shit-load of debt on a major team. Fair enough, Man Utd have danced with the devil in many instances through being so overtly open to commercialism, but Glazer is a true shark and the clubs in the EPL will eventually pay when he tries to cut a TV deal for Man Utd only. I feel sorry for the English football fans because they will ultimately be the losers in all this. Glazer SUCKS.

madra sneachta
Problem is, once you float on the stock exchange, concepts like "what's good for the club" go out the window. I know that a lot of the blame is being heaped on JP Mc Manus and John Magnier (Cubic Expression), with some people regarding this as revenge on Ferguson for the Rock of Gibralter debacle. I don't think so. They saw Man Utd. as a business deal, and sold when the price was right. The problem is floatation is a double edged sword. Floating a club like Man Utd. on the stock exchange allows the scope to get cash in to buy players and build up a team, but it also leaves the door open for takeovers, hostile or otherwise. The question was should Glazer be allowed buy the club?. The day the club floated, that question was answered.
