  1. Bought it today...even funnier than I remember it. Has a crate load of extras too...well worth $18!
  2. Sigourney Weaver's second movie (the one after Alien), called The Janitor, although I'm sure it was called something different in America. It co-starred William Hurt, and it was the biggest pile of poo I've ever had the misfortune to sit through. No plot, no life, no hope, no f***ing nowt...
  3. I remember Vinnie Jones when he was a CRAP midfielder for Wimbledon, Leeds and Chelsea...he was garbage...he is a terrible actor too, unbelievable that a moron such as that becomes an "actor." I always liked Ray Winstone's opinion on Jones: "I wouldn't turn up at West Ham and expect a game straight away, so how does he get parts in big movies?" Quite.
  4. Alien Event Horizon Silent Running Sleeper The Day The Earth Stood Still
  5. Point taken Jack, although I was just being gently sarcastic...
  6. I just called Dimension and while they understood your position, they couldn't cancel the releases, so we're stuck with it I'm afraid. At least I tried...
  7. I'll tell them to not bother releasing the new DVD's then...
  8. In his own words, from many years ago, he "got out of teaching, because no one applauded if you gave a good lesson." When I read that, I didn't know whether to puke or puke more. The man, and I use the term loosely, is vain, untalented, misogynistic and completely without merit. He has no humility, and thinks the world revolves around him, but these days he is a NOBODY. Whether the show has anything to do with Kiss or not, Gene Simmons should realise that the world has passed him by and he should just go away and retire. The world isn't listening anymore Gene, old boy.
  9. Doing our taxes, so the tv is off unfortunately!
  10. Now, I love these films. I have all six on DVD and will be spending my hard-earned on the new ones: 'Deader' out in June and 'Hellworld' out in September. Because of inner politics within Dimension Films, these sequels were filmed over three-four years ago, they have been delayed to a ridiculous degree (although I don't know the full story). I'd like to see Clive Barker write and direct one more movie, to make it the last and come full circle, and see what he comes up with. Maybe it will happen one day!
  11. Arsenal suck. I like the Red Sox though. As a avid football (soccer to you American types) follower, I read Nick Hornby's book and completely understood what he meant (having lived that life for years as a Tottenham Hotspur supporter). The movie will be nothing more than diverting tripe, and I will more than likely enjoy it! A chick flick dressed up in a Boston uniform, now that's the real comedy!
  12. Kiss is, was and always shall be complete tripe. A band that couldn't play, sing or write songs and they made millions through astute marketing. Gene Simmons was never a musician. He was a business man that paraded and pretended to be a musician. Absolutely shameful.
  13. Gene Simmons couldn't write "arse" on a wall, let alone a decent song. What in God's name is he doing in a show like that. He is a prat of the highest order.
  14. Problem with 'Braveheart' is that it's historically way wide of the mark! Nice bagpipes though
  15. I thought Philadelphia was an absolute scream, followed by Saving Private Ryan.
  16. I thought it was a completely original piece of film-making. An excellent movie, a bit off kilter for sure, but that's it's charm. Wonderful soundtrack too.
  17. How about a nice sunrise yellow or a sunset red? Much happier colours than blue, don't you agree?
  18. What an absolute insult to the intelligence. Whoever wrote that is full of shit and deserves a spank.
  19. I thought it was overrated shite. There are absolutely no redeeming features about this movie, it isn't funny in the slightest and the cast (poor bastards) struggles with a wafer-thin premise, terrible writing and cack handed direction. Absolute bollocks.
  20. I cry at the drop of a hat, at most anything...but the only movie that consistently kills me is 'Field Of Dreams'. I suppose the fact that my father died when I was 11 (30 years ago this year), may have something to do with it. Some people have a downer on Kevin Costner, but in that film he plays it just right and the emotion cranks up at the right time. When I need a good weep, I always watch that movie...
  21. Swimming With Sharks (Kevin Spacey), Alien (still a classic), Cronos (one Guillermo del Toro's early works), Dog Soldiers (rattling good fun) and there's many more!
  22. I haven't seen it yet, but me & the missus turned up at DKR Stadium in Austin to be extras in the college football "crowd" scenes. They did two days filming at DKR, and they had 500 people turn up for each day and CGI'd the rest. Oh, and originally the movie was called "Cheer Up" (I still have an official t-shirt somewhere).
